22-007802 Trespassing 07:53:00 10/26/22
A Deputy responded to a report of a trespassing that occurred the previous night. It was reported that a white male wearing a hooded sweatshirt, with glasses and facial hair, walked under the deck and briefly looked in a window. The identity of the person is unknown at this time and a report was made.

An Orcas Deputy responded to a report of a theft of mail. A report was taken.

22-007824 Civil Problem 19:30:25 10/26/22
An Orcas Deputy was dispatched to a report of theft. After further investigation, it was determined it was determined to be civil matter involving marital property.

22-007825 Custodial Interference 20:17:48 10/26/22
A Lopez Deputy responded to a custodial interference call. One parent took their child from the other parent and fled out of state. The matter is under investigation.

22-007838 Citizen Dispute 13:28:41 10/27/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a harassment call. The Reporting party did not want to pursue criminal action. The suspect was issued a trespass notice and the incident documented.

22-007841 Trespassing 14:05:25 10/27/22 
An Orcas man was trespassed from a local business. A report was written.

22-007843 Embezzlement 15:39:24 10/27/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of financial fraud. This case is pending investigation due lack of evidence.

22-007844 Abandoned Vehicle 16:07:56 10/27/22
An Orcas Island Deputy impounded an abandoned vehicle that was parked in front of 473 North Beach Rd. for over 1 month.

22-007847 Citizen Dispute 17:44:21 10/27/22
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a citizen dispute at 310 Main St. One party was detained after being found in possession of ammunition, handcuffs, pepper spray and a knife. An investigation was conducted, and it was determined no crime had been committed. A report was authored.

A Lopez resident reported fraud related to their banking institution. A report was completed.

22-007856 Trouble Unknown 08:37:49 10/28/22
A Lopez Deputy responded to a 911 hang up. There was no emergency related to the call.

22-007869 Accident-HitRun 12:01:21 10/28/22
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a hit and run collision. There are no suspects or workable leads and the incident was documented.

22-007873 Theft 14:39:49 10/28/22
A San Juan Deputy responded to a walk-in report of a theft of two rings from a ferry. There are currently no active leads and the incident was documented.

22-007883 Found Property 20:04:21 10/28/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of found property, no owner was identified and the property was booked into evidence.

22-007887 Domestic Dispute or Assault 21:41:03 10/28/22
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to 1368 Mt. Baker Rd. for a report of a Domestic Dispute. An investigation was conducted, and it was determined no crime had been committed. An incident report was authored.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30
22-007935 Fraud 13:08:38 10/30/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island Received a report of a fraud via telephone. The suspect is unknown and there are no leads at this time.

22-007938 Trespassing 14:15:41 10/30/22
Deputies from San Juan Island responded to a report of a possible trespass. Three people were found to be on private property and two left upon the arrival of the Deputies. One individual was found to be in violation of a court order. A report was forwarded to the prosecutor.

22-007939 Malicious Mischief 16:47:22 10/30/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a vandalism. Upon investigation it was determined that a domestic violence assault had taken place and one male was arrested and booked into the San Juan County Jail.

Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a domestic dispute. One person was arrested for assault in the fourth degree-domestic violence.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 31
22-007950 Domestic Dispute or Assault 08:48:37 10/31/22
A Deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy arrived and contacted the people involved. Statements were taken. Incident not criminal at this time. Report taken.

22-007951 Accident-NonInj 09:16:14 10/31/22
A Deputy was dispatched to a Single Vehicle Traffic Accident in the San Juan Island area. The incident had occurred the night before. The Deputy located a single vehicle off the roadway and heavily
damaged. Report taken.

22-007954 Accident-Injury, Traffic 11:36:02 10/31/22
A Deputy was dispatched to a Single Vehicle Traffic Accident in the San Juan Island area. A single vehicle lost control and left the roadway, rolling down into the valley. Driver was removed from the scene for medical treatment. Report taken.

22-007962 Citizen Assist 13:40:52 10/31/22
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a report of well tampering on Blakely Island. The complainant reported someone tampered with well testing equipment, resulting in several hundred dollars in additional costs incurred by the Blakely Island Maintenance Commission.

22-007963 Citizen Assist 13:43:25 10/31/22
A Deputy responded to a citizen assist call. The caller, from Port Townsend, reported that an unknown person called her claiming to be from the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office and she needed to appear in court. The caller did not give out any information nor paid any money. No suspect information.

22-007965 Disorderly Conduct 14:21:39 10/31/22
A Deputy responded to a report of a Disorderly Conduct on Front St at the Ferry ramp. Ferry personnel reported a male boarded the ferry on foot and then walked off before the ferry departed. No crime was reported, there is no information on the male, and the male was not located.

22-007967 Fraud 15:26:45 10/31/22
A Deputy responded to a report of an attempt fraud via a phone scam. The caller stated an unknown person called him claiming he was a lawyer, that his nephew was in an accident, and he needed to pay $6000 to make amends. The caller identified that it was a scam and ended the call. No loss incurred.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 1
22-007982 Found Property 07:09:59 11/01/22
A Deputy responded to a found property call in Friday Harbor. Someone turned in a wallet belonging to a person with a Lynnwood, WA address. The owner was not able to be located and the found property was entered into the property room per policy.

22-007984 Mental Health 09:17:55 11/01/22
Lopez Deputies were dispatched to a subject possibly suffering a mental health episode. The subject was found not to be an imminent threat to self or others and declined offers of assistance. The subject was advised of resources available.

22-007990 Found Property 11:04:31 11/01/22
A Deputy was contacted about Found Property. The ferry had located the item and had brought it to the Sheriff’s Office. The item was entered into evidence as Found Property. Report taken.

22-007997 Fraud 14:44:20 11/01/22
A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a fraud call. An Informational Report was taken.

22-008000 Vicious Animal 16:55:23 11/01/22
A citizen came to the Orcas Substation and reported a public nuisance dog complaint. Dogs were said to be chasing the reporting parties sheep. He requested the owners of the dogs be contacted and advised of the situation.
