Deputies arrived at a residence in Friday Harbor to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance. The incident was verbal only and no further enforcement action was taken.
17-007397 Controlled Substance Problem 17:50:42 10/18/17
A Deputy responded to a Lopez Island residence for an illegal drug complaint. The home owner reported finding illegal drug paraphernalia in her home. The matter is under investigation.
17-007398 Wanted Person 18:58:23 10/18/17
A Deputy received a warrant on a Friday Harbor resident for FTA/Assault 4th Degree. The Deputy went to the listed address on the warrant and arrested the wanted person without incident. The male was booked into the jail, posted bond, and was released with a new court date.

A citizen reported several items stolen from her San Juan Island residence. Investigation is ongoing.

A Deputy met with a dog owner near the Lopez Village regarding their dog, which had been running loose on Hummel Lake Road. The Deputy gave the dog owner a Dog At Large Warning Letter.

A San Juan Island Deputy served an arrest warrant at a house in Friday Harbor. The male was arrested and booked at the station. The male posted bail and was released with a new court date.

An Orcas deputy responded to a report of a woman making threats of suicide. An investigation was done and a report was written.

Deputies responded to a Domestic call on Orcas. After both parties were interviewed it was deemed a civil matter.
17-007455 Domestic Dispute or Assault 10:45:33 10/21/17
Orcas deputies responded to a domestic dispute in Eastsound. After further investigation the incident was resolved. A report was taken.

Lopez deputies were contacted by a school board candidate regarding the removal of lawfully placed campaign signs. The investigation is on-going.

Friday Harbor parents called to report their 17 year old son as runaway. Information was taken and a juvenile runaway notice was signed and posted and deputies began searching for the boy.

A Lopez Island woman reported that she has been harassed as she is out walking. The suspect reportedly has made unwelcome comments and gestures towards the woman on more than one occasion. A report was taken.
17-007479 Burglary – Residential 15:00:32 10/22/17
Deputies responded to a report of a Burglary in Progress in Friday Harbor. Two males were arrested for Criminal Trespass and booked into jail. Report completed and investigation ongoing.

A deputy was dispatched to the San Juan Island area in reference to a Domestic. The reporting deputy contacted the involved parties. The incident was found to be verbal in nature.

Friday Harbor High School called on a student using Marijuana. The student was found to have Marijuana on her and later tested positive for Marijuana consumption. The subject was turned over to Juvenile Probation for processing.

A deputy was contacted in reference to a Theft in the Friday Harbor area. The caller reported that political signs had been removed from several locations. Investigation continues…

A deputy was contacted by the caller in reference to a Motor Vehicle Theft in the Friday Harbor area. The caller was out of the state but advised that a family member may have taken their car without permission. Investigation continues…

An Orcas Island Deputy responded with Orcas Island Fire and Rescue to the Eastsound area, for reports of a motor vehicle versus pedestrian collision. The pedestrian, a visitor to the island, sustained only minor injuries. A report was taken.
