22-008538 Threats 07:35:54 11/30/22
A San Juan Deputy was dispatched to a report of threats. A student had been struck by another and advised they had a knife that was later seized by faculty. The school enacted safety protocols regarding the incident and the Deputy contacted those involved. This case is still under investigation.
22-008540 Accident-Injury, Traffic 08:43:14 11/30/22
An Orcas resident was driving and hit black ice and went off the roadway. A report was written.
22-008541 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 09:01:55 11/30/22
A Lopez Deputy responded to a suspicious call. A concerned Lopez parent reported that their child was being followed and offered a ride home multiple times by an older man that they did not recognize. A report was taken.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of vandalism. A glass window was broken at a local business. There are no leads or suspects at this time and the incident was documented.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of a theft that occurred sometime within the last three months. No suspects or leads at this time. The incident was documented.
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1
22-008557 Trespassing 08:30:09 12/01/22
A Deputy was contacted about a Trespassing. After speaking with the people involved, the incident appears to be a property line dispute and no crime has been committed. Information report taken.
22-008558 Threats 09:55:55 12/01/22
A Deputy was contacted about Threats occurring in the San Juan Island area. The person advised that he was receiving threatening messages on his phone from another person. The person wanted to know their options. Report taken.
22-008559 Citizen Assist 10:44:17 12/01/22
A Lopez Deputy responded to a fraud call. A Lopez citizen reported that their niece in California became victim to an internet scam. The scam was a Facebook message promising to offer federal grant money, claiming to represent “clean energy”. A report was taken.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of threats toward a bank in Friday Harbor. Investigation revealed no probable cause to charge the person with a crime.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a fraud call at Island Hardware & Supply at 21 West Beach Rd. The investigation is on-going.
22-008572 Welfare Check 20:17:28 12/01/22
A San Juan Deputy responded to a welfare check for a possibly suicidal person. They were contacted and found to not be suicidal. The Deputy counseled the person regarding current hardships and mental health difficulties and they were referred to Compass Health for assistance.

A wallet was found at the Lopez ferry terminal. The owner was located later in the day.
22-008588 Parking Problem 16:53:23 12/02/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a parking problem in Friday Harbor. The vehicle was unoccupied, and the registered owners were unable to be reached by telephone that day. The owners were contacted on 12/04/22 and stated they would move the vehicle. A report was completed.

22-008596 Vicious Animal 14:55:46 12/03/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island was dispatched to a report of a dog at large. The owner of the dog was contacted and a dog at large warning letter was issued.
22-008597 Parking Problem 15:38:21 12/03/22
A Lopez resident called about a vehicle parked at Agate Beach for several days. The owner was located and they are trying to get the vehicle repaired and moved.

A business in the Lopez village called about a vehicle that had been left in the parking lot.
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 4
22-008610 Vicious Animal 11:15:56 12/04/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to an animal problem. A dog attacked another dog unprovoked. The victim did not want to pursue criminal action, the case documented for potentially dangerous dog review.
22-008615 Citizen Assist 16:08:20 12/04/22
A Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to a citizen assist. The reporting party was concerned about people being interfering with her at her work and her home.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of an unwanted person at a business. The Deputy located the individual and served them with a trespass warning letter at the request of the business. A report was completed.
MONDAY, DECEMBER 5
22-008625 Trespassing 12:01:13 12/05/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a local business for a trespassing complaint. The suspect had been previously trespassed from the business but had entered and stole some items. The suspect was located and arrested and booked into jail for Burglary 2nd Degree and Theft 3rd Degree.
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 6
22-008635 Theft 12:43:49 12/06/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a theft. A citizen reported 40 to 50 of their knitted Hedgehogs were taken from the Holiday Market. No suspects or leads at this time.
22-008639 Animal at Large 15:15:37 12/06/22
A Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to a report of a dog at large. The dog was located and returned to the owner. The owner was issued an infraction for dog at large-3rd offense.
