A report of a missing person was made to the Sheriff’s Office in the Friday Harbor area. The subject was located deceased a short time later. Nothing suspicious was noted and the investigation was turned over to the Coroner.
21-010163 Burglary – Residential 11:33:41 11/24/21
Lopez Island Deputies were sent to a possible residential burglary in progress. A party was found at the residence, who was known to the homeowner. No crime had been committed.
21-010169 Harassment 14:22:00 11/24/21
A Friday Harbor Deputy took a report of harassment. The comments did not rise to a criminal act and the caller was referred to other remedies. Report made.

A Lopez Island Deputy received medication for disposal in the drug take back box.

A Lopez Deputy discovered a vehicle in a ditch. Upon investigation, the driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

A San Juan Deputy was dispatched to a report of burglary. The incident was investigated and a report was generated. No suspect was identified in this matter.
21-010204 Vehicle Prowl 10:19:47 11/26/21
An Orcas Island Deputy investigated a Vehicle Prowl. Unknown suspect(s) stole $5000.00 worth of property from a locked cargo box/container on the roof of a vehicle. A report was authored.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 27
21-010230 Theft 11:13:06 11/27/21
A San Juan Deputy took a report of theft in Friday Harbor. Video of the theft was obtained; this investigation is ongoing.
21-010237 Court Order Violation 13:30:23 11/27/21
A Lopez Island Deputy was called about a possible Protection Order Violation. Upon investigation, it was determined that no violation had
occurred.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 28
21-010257 Malicious Mischief 08:41:46 11/28/21
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of vandalism. No suspect information was available; the incident was documented.
21-010259 Citizen Dispute 09:15:56 11/28/21
A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a citizen dispute at a residence. The offending party had departed before the Deputy arrived. No crime occurred.
21-010263 Theft 11:57:12 11/28/21
A Deputy was contacted in reference to a Theft. The person reported an item had been misplaced or taken. The person did have an interaction with someone who might be involved. No other information at this time. Report taken.

An Orcas Island Deputy investigated an assault at Island Market. A report was taken and forwarded to the County Prosecutors Office for review.

A Deputy was contacted in reference to an Abandoned Vehicle. The tow operator provided a completed packet on the vehicle. The registered owner was issued an infraction for Littering/Failure to redeem abandoned vehicle.

A Deputy on San Juan Island arrested a subject with an out of county warrant and was booked into jail.
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 29
21-010281 Domestic Dispute or Assault 09:02:32 11/29/21
Deputies responded to a report of a Domestic in Friday Harbor. Upon investigation one person was arrested and booked into jail for Criminal Trespass in the First Degree DV. Report made.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a trespassing near Eastsound. A local business had a Trespass Warning Letter filled out.
21-010288 Found Property 14:24:48 11/29/21
A Deputy was contacted at the Sheriff’s Office in reference to Found Property. The person located a hand tool lying in the street and wanted to turn it into the Sheriff’s Office. The item was entered into evidence. Report taken.

A Deputy was contacted in reference to an Abandoned Vehicle. A tow operator turned in a failure to redeem packet. The registered owner was issued an infraction for Littering/ Failure to Redeem AbandonedVehicle. Report taken.

A Deputy was contacted in reference to an Abandoned Vehicle call. A tow operator turned in a failure to redeem packet to the Sheriff’s Office. The registered owner was issued an infraction for Littering/Failure to Redeem Abandoned Vehicle. Report taken.

A Deputy was contacted in reference to a Fraud. The person was reporting a gift card scam. The person provided a written statement and a copy of the sent e-mails. Report taken.
21-010308 Parking Problem 13:46:14 11/30/21
A Deputy on Orcas responded to a parking complaint at the ferry landing. There was a vehicle that had been parked in a handicap parking space for a duration without proper display. The Deputy did not hear back from the registered owner so a citation was written.

A Deputy was contacted in reference to a Theft in the San Juan Island area. The person reported that a money drop box was being tampered with. The person requested additional patrol in the area. No workable leads at this time. Report taken.

A Deputy was contacted in reference to Threats. A local business was reporting an issue with a client where the client was unhappy because they could not get service. The client threatened to show up and cause
a disturbance. The business just wanted a record at this time.

A Deputy was contacted in reference to a Fraud. The person advised they had some charges on a credit card that were not made by them. The person provided a statement and copies of the credit card transactions. Report taken.
