A San Juan Deputy responded to a complaint of drugging of a community member. The victim was interviewed and transported to the hospital for examination. The investigation is ongoing.

A San Juan Deputy was dispatched to a report of people taking driftwood from National Parks land. While driving to the call, the Deputy observed a vehicle matching the description and stopped it as the trailer did not have a license plate. Multiple infractions were issued to the driver.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of child abuse. The investigation is ongoing.

A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to check on the wellbeing of a subject. The subject was located and assured the Deputy all was well.

A San Juan resident reported an unknown person inside his residential garage. A Deputy responded and located the suspect, who was identified. The investigation is ongoing.

A San Juan Deputy was dispatched to a suicide attempt. The victim called Safe San Juan’s after intentionally overdosing on prescription medications. The victim was contacted and sent to the hospital involuntarily for treatment.

A Deputy on Orcas collected firearms from a citizen that they wished for the Sheriff department to have, as they no longer wanted them.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a burglary at a business in Friday Harbor. Evidence was collected but there were no cameras in the area. There are no suspects at this time and the incident was documented.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of Vandalism in Friday Harbor. A window was broken out of a vehicle but there are no cameras in the area and no suspect information at this time.

A Lopez Deputy collected old rifle ammunition from a Lopez citizen to be safely disposed of. An information report was taken.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a domestic. A juvenile was arrested for assault 4 – DV and was transported to the Sheriff’s Office.

San Juan Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at ferry terminal. On arrival, one party had left and the other remained. Investigation determined no crime happened and the remaining party was released. A report was filed for informational purposes.

An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched with Orcas Island Fire and Rescue to a vessel accident with injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a burglary in Friday Harbor. Partial fingerprints were lifted from a window but there were no cameras in the area and a suspect description could not be obtained. The incident was documented.
21-003691 Found Property 16:17:32 05/06/21
A citizen located a GoPro camera on the ground at the top of Mt. Constitution and turned it in to Deputies at the Orcas Island sub-station for safekeeping.
21-003693 Controlled Substance Problem 16:28:22 05/06/21
Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a suspicious circumstance. After investigation, it was determined no crime had been committed. The case was closed with an informational report.

A Deputy was dispatched to an Accident in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy arrived and contacted the driver involved in the accident. The accident was not reportable but the driver was arrested for
driving on a Suspended License. Report taken.

Lopez ferry workers called for assistance with a problem driver. The driver was later located and cited.

A couple visiting Lopez Island backed their truck into a ditch. The truck became stuck. A Lopez Deputy assisted in connecting the stranded couple with a local tow service.

Orcas Island Deputies responded to a call of an unknown subject who allegedly attempted to solicit explicit photographs from a minor via Snapchat. The investigation is ongoing.
21-003746 Mental Health 12:00:17 05/08/21
San Juan Deputies responded to a mental call where the reporting party stated they broke a window at a residence. Deputies observed a broken window at the residence and obtained video of the incident. The suspect was located and arrested for malicious mischief and trespassing.

An Orcas Island Deputy recovered a found credit card. A report was taken.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called about a roadside “free pile” that contained rotting meat. The owner was contacted who immediately removed the offending items.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Theft in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy arrived and contacted the people involved. The people involved came to an agreement. Report taken.

A Lopez Island Deputy assisted a driver remove a disabled vehicle from the roadway where it had broken down.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called by a resident about a civil dispute.
