23-003705 Harassment 11:25:55 05/24/23
A Friday Harbor resident made a report of Harassment from an employee of a local business. It was suggested the reporting party report the attitude and behavior to the manager of the business and a statement was emailed to the reporting party.

23-003709 Medical BLS 13:04:09 05/24/23
Lopez Deputies and Lopez EMS responded when an individual having panic attacks boarded a ferry from Orcas to Lopez. Upon arrival on Lopez, EMS evaluated the individual and arranged transportation to the hospital.

23-003710 Noise Complaint /not dogs 13:12:34 05/24/23
A Lopez Deputy responded when a Lopez citizen reported hearing a loud crashing noise near Hooterville Lane. Upon investigation, the Deputy found that a construction crew was working in the area.

23-003712 Theft 13:21:28 05/24/23
A Lopez Deputy responded to a theft call. A Lopez citizen reported mail stolen out of the mailbox. Nothing of value was taken. A report was drafted.

23-003720 Boating Problem 18:51:07 05/24/23
Deputies on San Juan Island, along with San Juan Fire and EMS responded to Jacksons Beach for a vessel that had taken on water and began to sink and the vessel operator was in the water. A passing vessel assisted and brought the operator to shore and towed their boat. A report was completed.

23-003724 Unconscious ALS 22:16:43 05/24/23
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of an overdose. A Deputy administered Narcan and with the assistance of EMS and Fire, and the individual was revived.

THURSDAY, MAY 25
23-003728 Accident-NonInj 07:30:35 05/25/23
An Orcas Deputy responded to a single vehicle rollover accident. The accident was due to distracted driving and the driver walked away with minor scratches. The witness said they were not speeding and the shoulder grabbed the vehicle and pulled it into the ditch where it flipped and rolled.

23-003733 Fraud 10:26:35 05/25/23
A Lopez Deputy responded when a Lopez citizen received a call from someone impersonating the Social Security Administration. The citizen gave the caller their social security number. The citizen alerted her bank and was given contact information for the real Social Security Administration.

23-003737 Vehicle Prowl 11:28:49 05/25/23
A Deputy was contacted about a Vehicle Prowl that occurred in the Friday Harbor area. The person advised that their vehicle had been entered a small item had been taken. No suspect information or evidence at this time. Report taken.

23-003743 Citizen Assist 14:10:53 05/25/23
A Deputy was dispatched to a Citizen Assist in the Friday Harbor area. The person was reporting an issue involving juveniles. Report taken.

23-003747 Trespassing 16:21:12 05/25/23
A Deputy was contacted in reference to a Trespass. The person was requesting a Trespass Warning Letter. The person signed the letter. Report taken.

A Deputy responded to a reported mental health incident in Eastsound. It was discovered that a female was having a mental health crisis, concerning several neighbors in the same apartment complex.

A Lopez Deputy was dispatched to a likely 911 misdial from a passing boat. The boat was not located.

23-003773 Accident-HitRun 10:42:36 05/26/23
The Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a hit and run property damage. An unknown vehicle damaged a mailbox. There were no investigative leads and no suspects.

23-003774 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 10:53:16 05/26/23
The Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of clothing and garbage left on private property. There are no investigative leads or suspects at this time.

23-003777 Burglary – Residential 11:06:26 05/26/23
A Deputy on Orcas Island spoke with a citizen who wanted to report a possible residential burglary. The individual nor the Deputy had legal authority to be at that residence. The homeowner has not reported any burglary. An informational report was completed.

23-003782 Threats 13:43:57 05/26/23
A Lopez resident reported a threatening comment received by from a neighbor. The reporting party requested that an informational report be completed to document the incident.

23-003784 Theft 14:49:04 05/26/23
A Deputy on Orcas Island spoke with a citizen who wanted to report possible theft. A sign went missing after being stowed away. There are no leads at this time, further investigation is required. A report was completed.

23-003792 Animal at Large 16:41:04 05/26/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island was dispatched to a report of a dog at large. The dog was returned to the owner and the owner was given an infraction for dog at large first offense.

23-003797 Welfare Check 20:13:15 05/26/23
A Lopez Deputy responded when an individual living near a waterfront restaurant witnessed a patron “moon” his friends as they boated by. The suspected flasher was gone by the time the Deputy arrived.

FRIDAY, MAY 27
23-003806 Welfare Check 11:19:48 05/27/23
A Lopez Deputy performed a welfare check. The involved person was not impaired, but refuses to seek care for their mental illness.

23-003830 Welfare Check 18:15:04 05/27/23
A Deputy on Orcas responded to a welfare check in the Deer Harbor area. Once the person was contacted they did not wish to speak with law enforcement. The reporting party was advised and stated they were satisfied with what had been done up to that point.

23-003831 Animal Bite 19:23:16 05/27/23
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of an animal bite. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment and an Animal Bite Report Form was completed.

23-003832 Animal Bite 21:13:16 05/27/23
A San Juan Deputy was at the hospital for an animal bite report when the Deputy was informed of another bite that occurred earlier in the day with an unknown dog. The Deputy attempted to contact the victim, who did not answer their phone.

23-003833 DUI 21:26:18 05/27/23
A Lopez Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was drifting off the road. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

23-003836 Mental Health 02:28:22 05/28/23
Deputies on San Juan Island were dispatched to a report a missing person experiencing a mental health crisis. The person eventually returned home on their own.

23-003840 Mental Health 07:21:08 05/28/23
A Deputy was dispatched to a Mental Health Issue. The Deputy attempted to locate the person in crisis. The person returned to their residence and the Deputy made contact. The person was taken to the hospital for evaluation. Report taken.

23-003846 Found Property 12:09:44 05/28/23
A citizen turned in a found driver’s license and school ASB card. The owner was unable to be reached. The items were entered into evidence.

23-003850 Accident-Injury, Traffic 12:37:26 05/28/23
A car struck a bicyclist on Afterglow drive. The cyclist was transported to the hospital for possible injuries. The driver was given an infraction for negligent driving in the second degree.

SUNDAY, MAY 29
23-003884 CPR ALS 11:28:50 05/29/23
Deputies on Orcas Island responded, along with Orcas Fire and EMS personnel, to a report of person who was unconscious and not breathing. Resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful. A death investigation commenced and is ongoing.

A Deputy on San Juan Island was dispatched to a report of a theft from a local business. A report was taken.

MONDAY, MAY 30
23-003904 Domestic Dispute or Assault 01:12:34 05/30/23
Deputies on San Juan and an Orcas Deputy responded to a report of a domestic incident on a vessel. It was determined that no crime had been committed. One involved party had an out of county arrest warrant. The individual was arrested for their warrant. A report was completed.

23-003905 Court Order Violation 05:04:37 05/30/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of an order violation. The Deputy made contact with the person who was violating the order who was arrested and booked into the jail for violation of a no contact order.

23-003907 Parking Problem 07:43:55 05/30/23
A vehicle was issued a parking ticket at the Lopez ferry terminal. The owner frequently disregards the clearly posted parallel parking only sign, which limits access to the parking lot entrance for other drivers.

23-003910 Theft 10:01:27 05/30/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a theft of a lawn mower. This case is still under investigation as the Deputy obtained video of the incident.

A Deputy on Orcas Island received a theft complaint. A citizen reported the theft of a package from their mailbox.

23-003913 Theft 12:28:40 05/30/23
Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a vehicle prowl. The victim indicated that this mostly likely happened on 5-24-23 at around 2200 hours. A wallet and a key were stolen from the vehicle. This case is currently under investigation.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to an agency assist callback. After contacting the agency contact they stated they would re-contact the Sheriff’s Office once they completed their investigation next week if follow-up was required.

23-003919 Lost Property 16:36:12 05/30/23
A Deputy on Orcas responded to a lost property call at the Orcas sub-station. The reporting party needed a case report for documentation to renew a passport.

23-003922 Citizen Dispute 16:40:57 05/30/23
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a citizen dispute. Neighbors got into an argument, and the reporting party wanted to be left alone. The reporting party had active warrants for their arrest, they were arrested on those warrants and booked into jail. A report was completed.

23-003926 Traffic Hazard 19:39:50 05/30/23
Lopez Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle intentionally blocking Mackaye Harbor Road. The driver refused to move, was heavily intoxicated, and likely having a mental breakdown. They were arrested for Assault, Disorderly Conduct, and Negligent Driving.
