A Lopez Island Deputy took a report regarding suspicious email and electronic communications with unknown third parties.

San Juan Deputies responded to a call regarding the issuance of a protection order. The incident was documented and the report will be sent to the Prosecutor’s Office for a charging decision.

San Juan Deputies responded to a person in crisis call. Deputies contacted the complainant and the subject in crisis. The subject was determined to not meet standards for involuntary detention. The complainant was provided a case number and business card. He already was aware of mental health resources.

A Lopez Island resident reported the theft of a firearm.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a theft. There are no suspects at this time and the incident was documented.
21-004076 Accident-Injury, Traffic 13:34:12 05/19/21
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of an accident with injury. While driving on West Valley Rd, a vehicle left the roadway and struck a parked vehicle, causing extensive damage to both vehicles. The driver of the vehicle was issued an infraction for driving with wheels off roadway.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a fraud call near Eastsound. A report was taken.
21-004080 Found Property 16:38:50 05/19/21
A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a found property complaint. A boater found a dinghy adrift and towed it back to Lopez Island. A report was completed.
21-004081 DUI 16:46:07 05/19/21
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a possible DUI driver. The driver was contacted. The driver showed no sign of impairment. He was given a warning for talking on a cell phone while driving.

San Juan Deputies responded to an injury collision. The driver was transported by EMS to PIMC for treatment.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a Harassment complaint. No crime had been committed. An informational report was filed.

21-004098 Wanted Person 15:23:46 05/20/21
Deputies from the Orcas Island substation, contacted a subject with an outstanding traffic related warrant. The subject was taken into custody without incident, transported to Friday Harbor and booked on his outstanding warrant.
21-004100 Traffic Hazard 15:27:37 05/20/21
A Lopez Deputy responded to a traffic hazard call. A stop sign was knocked down on the intersection of Port Stanley Road and Lopez Sound Road. A report was taken. There are currently no suspects.

Deputies from the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office, Orcas Island substation, responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of Main St. and Madrona St. Both parties involved in the collision were uninjured and a non-injury traffic collision report was taken.
21-004138 Fraud 17:11:22 05/21/21
San Juan Deputies recovered license plates that had been stolen from the Seattle area. The items were placed in evidence.
21-004141 Alcohol Offense 18:21:01 05/21/21
San Juan Deputies witnessed an underage male purchase alcohol and tobacco at a local store. The items were seized and the case will be forwarded to the court.

21-004178 DUI 16:48:21 05/22/21
Deputies from the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a possible intoxicated driver on Crescent Beach Dr. heading toward Main St. Deputies located the vehicle and contacted the driver who was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and subsequently arrested for DUI.
21-004184 Juvenile Problem 21:01:35 05/22/21
Deputies from the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office Orcas Island substation were contacted regarding a juvenile who entered a neighbor’s home without permission and used an electronic device in the home. After investigation it was determined there was no crime committed.

Deputies from the Orcas Island sub-station responded to a domestic disturbance at the Rosario Resort. A married couple were contacted and after an investigation it was determined there was no crime committed. An incident report was taken for documentation.
21-004196 Theft 11:41:26 05/23/21
Deputies from the San Juan County Sheriff’s Department’s investigated the theft of an Amazon Fire tablet from a vehicle. After speaking with the owner of the tablet he located it and realized it was lost and not stolen.

A Deputy responded to an aid call in Friday Harbor. The caller reported being pushed down by a friend the previous day on Orcas island, injuring her ankle, and needed EMS assistance to get to the hospital. The caller refused to provide information on the incident. Info Report made.
