24-001292 Area Check 08:35:57 03/06/24
A Friday Harbor man called in regarding the disassembly of a Yurt on what was reported as his property. After investigating, no supporting documentation could be found showing the property belonged to the caller. It is a civil issue at this time.

24-001306 Accident-NonInj 20:13:36 03/06/24
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a single vehicle accident. The driver failed to negotiate a curve properly and went into the ditch. The driver was un-injured in the accident. A report was completed.

THURSDAY, MARCH 7
24-001311 Theft 04:53:31 03/07/24
A San Juan Island Deputy received a theft call. RP reported the theft of a laptop and motorcycle. The call was determined to be a civil matter and closed.

24-001313 Weapon Safekeeping 08:46:46 03/07/24
A Deputy received several items for Safekeeping. Eight bottles of expired animal medication was turned in for destruction. Items entered into evidence. Report taken.

FRIDAY, MARCH 8
24-001345 Trespassing 20:24:57 03/08/24
Deputies responded to a report of a prowler on an unoccupied property under surveillance. Further investigation revealed the identity of the person and it was discovered the person was searching for their lost dog. No crime occurred.

24-001348 Accident-NonInj 21:42:59 03/08/24
Lopez Island Deputies were dispatched to an Accident Non-Injury where a vehicle was found in the ditch. The driver was not located and a 72-hour notice was placed on the vehicle. The incident was documented.

SUNDAY, MARCH 10
24-001368 Trespassing 09:42:54 03/10/24
A Deputy on Orcas responded to a trespassing call near Eastsound. The property owner wanted a trespass warning letter served to an individual. The person was located and informed that if they trespassed on the property again they would be arrested.

24-001370 Burglary,NonRes 11:45:31 03/10/24
A Deputy on Orcas responded to a possible burglary near Eastsound. After the video surveillance was collected and an investigation completed, there was no crime found.

24-001371 Animal at Large 12:36:42 03/10/24
A Deputy was contacted in about a Dog at Large in the San Juan Island area. The person had brought in a dog that had been located on their property. owner of the dog was contacted and provided a Dog at Large Warning Letter. Report taken.

24-001373 Abandoned Vehicle 16:11:29 03/10/24
A Deputy on Orcas Island issued a notice of infraction for abandoning a vehicle at a local towing establishment.

MONDAY, MARCH 11
24-001382 Citizen Assist 11:30:45 03/11/24
A Lopez resident reported domestic issues involving a former partner. No crime had occurred and support resources were recommended. An informational report was completed.

24-001383 Overdose 14:12:12 03/11/24
Deputies on Orcas responded to a possible overdose in Eastsound. Patient refused medical treatment and did not know why reporting party had contacted emergency services. A report was taken.

TUESDAY, MARCH 12
24-001399 Welfare Check 12:17:22 03/12/24
The Sheriff’s Office was contacted for a welfare check and a subject was subsequently transported to PIMC for a mental health evaluation.

24-001404 Animal Bite 19:08:58 03/12/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of a dog bite. It was reported that the dog bit the person while playing with it and went to the hospital as a precaution. A report was completed.

24-001408 Missing Person 22:52:58 03/12/24
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of a missing person who did not return back home when they said they would, after borrowing a car. The individual was located in the vehicle, which was collected by the owner. A report was completed.
