A deputy on Orcas Island responded to distraught male subject that was lost and concerned about the location of his girlfriend who had left his presence earlier in the evening. The girlfriend’s whereabouts was known to the deputy. The subject was notified she was safe and was provided a ride home.

An Orcas deputy provided a courtesy ride home to a female subject that was involved in an earlier altercation.
17-001654 Malicious Mischief 10:37:30 03/29/17
Lopez Island deputies responded to a vandalism call on an outer island. Deputies boated over and met with the property owner, who showed them the damage done to his property, as well as his potato cannon. A report was taken along with photos documenting the damage.

A deputy was dispatched to a court order violation in Friday Harbor. After further investigation the respondent was found in violation of the order and taken into custody.

A Deputy was dispatched to report of Harassment in Friday Harbor. After further investigation a report was taken and forwarded to the Juvenile Office.

A Deputy was dispatched to a citizen dispute in Friday Harbor. The case was forwarded to the Fish and Game Wildlife Dept. No further.
17-001671 Area Check 10:58:50 03/30/17
A third party administrator out of Dallas Texas reported (03/30/17) that a theft had occurred at one of their foreclosed homes/properties on Orcas Island. Appliances were reported to have been stolen sometime before 03/03/17, the date of discovery. No one is living in the home at this time, per deputy.
17-001674 Domestic Dispute or Assault 12:55:35 03/30/17
Deputies were dispatched to a Domestic violence call. Deputies arrived and found the call to be a domestic argument. One of the parties involved left the location after gathering his belongings and a report was made.
17-001677 Burglary – Residential 15:15:39 03/30/17
An Orcas Island resident came to the station to report a Residential Burglary at his residence.
17-001680 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 16:04:03 03/30/17
A Detective responded with CPS to the report of a possible assault on a child.
17-001686 Civil Problem 19:52:20 03/30/17
A deputy arrived at a residence in Friday Harbor to investigate a domestic dispute. The incident was settled by contact.
17-001687 Welfare Check 20:31:55 03/30/17
Deputies responded to a residence in Friday Harbor to check on the welfare of a person that was reportedly threatening suicide. The report was unfounded.

17-001696 Unwanted Person 15:33:31 03/31/17
Deputies were dispatched to an Unwanted Persons call involving possibly armed individuals. Deputies arrived and found there were no weapons involved and this was a civil dispute involving a landlord and two tenants.

A Lopez deputy was contacted regarding an alleged trespassing incident. The suspect left the island prior to the call dispatch.
17-001700 Unwanted Person 16:37:26 03/31/17
A Lopez deputy consulted a local business owner regarding an unwanted customer.
17-001704 Wanted Person 18:46:02 03/31/17
Deputies responded to a reported wanted person in Eastsound. The wanted suspect was found and arrested. Search incident to arrest revealed the subject was in possession of a controlled substance. The suspect was transported to Friday Harbor and booked into jail.
17-001709 Traffic Stop 23:54:51 03/31/17
A SJC Deputy made a late night stop on a vehicle for lane travel. Further investigation revealed there was probable cause to believe the female driver was driving under the influence. She was arrested, processed and released with a promise to appear in court. Her vehicle was impounded.

A deputy was dispatched to the Friday Harbor area in reference to an Assault. The reporting deputy arrived and contacted the involved parties. The parties agreed to separate. Report forwarded for possible action.

17-001739 Litter/Pollution/Public Health 11:40:16 04/02/17
A deputy was contacted at the Sheriff’s Office in reference to an Illegal Dumping. The caller advised that a vehicle had been at an apartment , dumping their trash. The involved removed their trash when confronted. No further action is available at this time.
17-001752 Accident-Injury, Traffic 17:59:19 04/02/17
A Deputy responded to a two car collision on Orcas Island. One driver ran a stop sign, went into an oncoming lane and struck another driver’s vehicle head on. The causing driver was believed to be under the influence. A search warrant was obtained to take blood from the driver for testing.
17-001753 Parking Problem 20:13:25 04/02/17
A citizen reported a vehicle parked off the roadway near Sutton Rd. The citizen believed it was there to use illegal drugs. A Deputy approached the vehicle and found a person in the drivers seat passed out with obvious signs of drug use around him. Subject was later arrested.
17-001758 Traffic Violation 21:15:54 04/02/17
A Lopez Island deputy was called to investigate a report of street racing. The vehicles were gone prior to the deputy’s arrival. The area was checked with negative results.
17-001759 Wanted Person 23:06:01 04/02/17
A Deputy in Friday Harbor contacted a person who had a warrant for his arrest for trespassing. The person was taken into custody and was booked into the jail.

A Deputy was dispatched to an unconscious female in Friday Harbor. Investigation Continues.

A Lopez deputy responded to a report of a hit-and-run collision with property damage. Investigation continues.
17-001765 Alcohol Offense 13:03:46 04/03/17
A deputy was dispatched to a Juvenile Problem in the Friday Harbor area. All the involved parties were contacted. Report forwarded for possible action.
17-001773 Unwanted Person 21:56:30 04/03/17
A Lopez deputy was dispatched for an unwanted person. The subject was gone on the deputy’s arrival and no crime was alleged.
17-001774 Malicious Mischief 22:32:53 04/03/17
A call was received of a subject who had vandalized the property at a residence in the town of Friday Harbor. The subjects involved were located and one of the subjects was later arrested. The complainant provided video footage of the incident.

A Lopez Island woman reported a car prowl. The suspect gained entry to a locked vehicle and removed cash and identification from the victim’s purse.
17-001783 Parking Problem 14:03:29 04/04/17
Deputies were called out on an illegal parking call at 200 North Beach Rd. A 24 hour notice sticker was on the car four days earlier on 3/31/17 and it still hadn’t moved. We got approval from Public Works to tow the vehicle as an abandoned vehicle tow.
