Orcas Island Deputies contacted a person reporting fraud. Deputies took the report and found the matter to be civil in nature.

A Lopez resident reported the theft of packages from their mailbox.

25-001650 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 14:58:15 03/26/25
Orcas Island Deputies received a report of harassment. After investigation Deputies found no criminal activity and parties were referred to appropriate agencies.

25-001652 Accident-NonInj 16:08:35 03/26/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a non-injury collision. The causing driver was issued an infraction for failure to stop at a stop sign.

25-001653 Theft 16:14:20 03/26/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of mail theft. A report was completed.

25-001657 Wanted Person 19:38:24 03/26/25
Deputies on San Juan Island located a male with active warrants for his arrest. The male was taken into custody without incident and was booked into the San Juan County Jail. A report was completed.

THURSDAY, MARCH 27
25-001663 Domestic Dispute or Assault 07:25:39 03/27/25
Deputies were dispatched to a Domestic in the Friday Harbor area. Deputies arrived and contacted the people involved. After an investigation, one person was arrested for Assault 4th DV and booked into custody.

25-001664 Unwanted Person 09:23:29 03/27/25
A Lopez man was trespassed from Odlin Park.

25-001665 Vehicle Prowl 09:45:36 03/27/25
San Juan Island Deputies responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle. Deputies found that someone had entered an unlocked vehicle and took four bath towels. There was no evidence found identifying a suspect.

25-001668 Malicious Mischief 10:46:56 03/27/25
A Lopez resident reported damage to a parked vehicle at a local business. Juveniles are likely involved.

25-001672 Trespassing 14:29:00 03/27/25
An Orcas Island Deputy assisted a property owner in the Eastsound area in rescinding a trespass notice from a citizen that was trespassed from that property a few years ago. The citizen is now allowed back on to the property.

FRIDAY, MARCH 28
25-001687 Theft 09:44:31 03/28/25
A Deputy was contacted about a Theft in the San Juan area. The person discovered a package had been taken from their mailbox. The mailbox was in a community mailbox area and multiple mailboxes were missing mail. Report taken.

25-001688 Malicious Mischief 10:02:33 03/28/25
A Deputy was contacted about a Malicious Mischief occurring in the Friday Harbor area. A vehicle belonging to a business had a slogan painted on the side of it. No suspects at this time. Additional patrol in the area requested. Report taken.

25-001691 Harassment 11:04:18 03/28/25
Deputies were dispatched to a Civil Issue. The Deputy made contact with the people filing the complaint. The people reported an issue with their employer. A report was taken.

25-001697 Theft 14:01:17 03/28/25
San Juan Island Deputies received a report of a theft from a vehicle. Deputies found that someone had entered an unlocked vehicle and took two phone chargers. There was no evidence found identifying a suspect.

25-001703 Welfare Check 16:20:47 03/28/25
San Juan Island Deputies responded to a welfare check. Upon arrival Deputies were contacted by a neighbor stating that the homeowner was out of town on vacation.

25-001707 Theft 18:39:00 03/28/25
An Orcas Island Deputy assisted a local citizen by authoring a report for a stolen license plate and explaining how to obtain a new license plate. The stolen license plate has been notated in the system for all law enforcement agencies to identify the license plate as stolen.

25-001710 Traffic Violation 21:18:59 03/28/25
San Juan Island Deputies received a report of reckless driving. A driver and vehicle matching the description given were contacted, but the reporting party did not provide enough information to move forward with the investigation.

25-001711 Traffic Violation 21:22:30 03/28/25
A San Juan Deputy stopped a vehicle as the owner had a suspended driver’s license. The driver was arrested for DWLS 3rd degree and driving without an ignition interlock device.

SATURDAY, MARCH 29
25-001716 Vehicle Prowl 10:21:27 03/29/25
A Deputy was contacted about a Vehicle Prowl that occurred in the Friday Harbor area. The person calling advised that two vehicles were entered over the previous night. Only one small item was removed from one of the vehicles. Report taken.

25-001717 Sick or Injured Animal 10:36:47 03/29/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a report of a dog having been left in a vehicle. Further investigation led to the discovery of a squatter living on the property. One person was arrested on charges related to burglary and property damage.

SUNDAY, MARCH 30

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a burglary complaint. The investigation is ongoing.

25-001740 Malicious Mischief 17:26:17 03/30/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report about escalating behavior and tension between family members. A report was completed.

25-001743 Unwanted Person 21:24:45 03/30/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of an unwanted person. The reporting party stated that an individual has been creating problems at a property and wanted to know what to do. An informational report was completed.

25-001744 Domestic Dispute or Assault 22:20:15 03/30/25
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of a domestic incident. The victim was taken to a safe location. Probable cause was established for the suspect for felony harassment- DV, and assault in the fourth degree-DV.

MONDAY, MARCH 31
25-001757 Fraud 12:21:30 03/31/25
An Orcas Island Deputy took a report of a stolen check that was cashed. The investigation is ongoing.

25-001766 Malicious Mischief 17:03:32 03/31/25 R Brandt INA
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of possible vandalism. The reporting party stated they believed a large dog entered their vehicle and urinated on the seat. Camera footage was reviewed, however, the culprit was not able to be identified. A report was completed.

25-001768 Wanted Person 18:21:08 03/31/25
Deputies on Orcas Island attempted to serve an arrest warrant. The suspect fled after having been told he was under arrest. He was charged with resisting arrest.

TUESDAY, APRIL 1
25-001774 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 08:32:14 04/01/25
An Orcas Island Deputy was called to the Orcas Island Middle School for a report of an adult male trying to grab a female student on campus. An investigation was conducted, and it was determined that the student fabricated the story to try and get out of going to school.

25-001775 Assault – Body Force 09:25:56 04/01/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an assault call that occurred at Country Corner. An investigation was conducted, and a suspect was identified after punching a victim in the face inside the business. The investigation has been sent to the Prosecutor’s Office for a charging decision.

25-001784 Trespassing 15:00:13 04/01/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island had contact with a citizen at the station. The citizen wanted two people trespassed from his property on Orcas Island. Follow up will be done to contact the two people and give them a trespass letter.
