A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to a residence on a report of an unwanted subject. The person was gone when the Deputy arrived. Potential solutions were discussed with the calling parties. A report was taken.
18-001847 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 09:16:34 03/21/18
A Deputy was dispatched to a suspicious circumstances on San Juan Drive. The owner of the property believed someone was on her beach or in a boat in the water near her residence. She asked me to check the area.
18-001865 Assault – Body Force 18:27:33 03/21/18
A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a citizen dispute. The incident began after the reporting person tried to contact a driver she witnessed driving in a reckless manner, on a prior date. The reporting person subsequently declined filing a formal complaint after the suspect apologized.

18-001873 Theft 11:42:27 03/22/18
A Deputy responded to an Eastsound business on a reported theft. Cash and two electronics were found missing. The items went missing in February and had not been recovered at this point. The case is under further investigation.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Domestic Violence incident that occurred in Friday Harbor. Investigation Continues.
18-001881 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 17:53:26 03/22/18
A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a suspicious circumstance call. A caller reported seeing what she believed was a discarded handgun along a Lopez Island road. The Deputy located the item and determined it was a toy gun. The toy gun which appeared to be old was disposed of and a report was completed.
18-001883 Vicious Animal 19:00:53 03/22/18
Deputies responded to a dispute between neighbors over dogs at large. The issue was resolved with a warning to the offending owner and advisement of the county dog regulations.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Hit and Run in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting person noticed damage to a work vehicle. Informational report taken.
18-001895 Harassment 11:04:19 03/23/18
A Deputy was contacted in reference to a Harassment. The caller advised that there was an incident where the subject was called names in store by another. Report taken.
18-001901 Wanted Person 14:54:43 03/23/18
A Deputy located a wanted person in Eastsound. The subject was arrested, transported and booked into jail in Friday Harbor.
18-001909 Traffic Violation 17:10:27 03/23/18
A Deputy responded to a complaint of person(s) in a vehicle that had been consuming alcohol. Deputies found the vehicle on the roadway and initiated a traffic stop for a violation. The driver was believed to be impaired by alcohol and was arrested, processed and released.

A Deputy responded to a Lopez Island bar after multiple customers threatened to assault a bar employee. The offending bar patrons were criminal trespassed from the establishment and a report was completed.
18-001924 Trouble Unknown 03:24:05 03/24/18
Deputies responded to a Lopez Island residence for an assault complaint. It was determined the incident happened after residents became annoyed at drunken loud neighbors. All involved declined filing charges and the matter was resolved peacefully. A report was completed.

An Orcas Island man reported being threatened by an unwanted person. A report was taken.

A Deputy was contacted at the Sheriff’s Office in reference to a Civil Problem. The reporting Deputy contacted all the involved parties and is investigating the incident for any criminal issues.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a possible domestic. An informational report was taken.

Lopez Island Deputies responded to Odlin Park on a 911 hang up call. A member of a youth group at the park had dialed 911 believing the phone did not work. The entire group benefited from the teachable moment about the appropriate use of 911.

A Lopez resident requested contact regarding a drone that was flying over his residence. A Deputy checked the surrounding properties, but the operator was not located.
18-001957 Accident-NonInj 22:48:31 03/24/18
A Lopez Deputy investigated a single vehicle collision on Fisherman Bay Road. The driver was issued a citation and a collision report was completed.

A Lopez Island residedent called a Deputy with concerns about traffic in their neighborhood and requested extra patrols.

A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to investigate an audible alarm sounding at a south end residence. The alarm was a septic alarm going off. The property owner was notified of the issue.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called about a wandering herd of sheep in the caller’s pasture. The owner was identified and the animals were collected and returned home.
18-001977 Traffic Violation 15:48:56 03/25/18
A Deputy responded to a report of a disturbance in the parking lot of the hospital in regards to a traffic offense that occurred on Roche Harbor Rd. Upon arrival, it was found that the driver involved was rushing a male to the emergency room for a medical emergency. Information report made.
18-001980 Domestic Dispute or Assault 17:57:55 03/25/18
Multiple witnesses watched a female driver exit a car, the male passenger grabbed her by the hair, pulled her back to the car and shoved her in, while hitting her. The witnesses stopped him and separated the two. The female fled on foot. Deputies arrived and arrested the male for assault.

Vehicle is abandoned on private roadway. Provided information to the association for the area, including listed address and a second address. Also located a phone number for the reporting party but the number was disconnected. Advised association to send registered letters to the address before having the vehicle

A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to check on cows reportedly out on Fisherman Bay Rd creating a traffic hazard. The owner was notified, and had the cows returned to their pasture by the time the Deputy arrived.

Deputies were dispatch a report of Domestic Violence in Friday Harbor. The suspect was unable to be located and a report was made. Investigation ongoing.

A Deputy responded to an early morning alarm in Eastsound. The owner of the property was home and it was discovered the alarm was malfunctioning. No further action was required.

An Orcas Deputy responded to a report of dogs at large in Eastsound that were behaving aggressively. An investigation was conducted.

Reporting party had a incident with 15 dogs being walked by a dog walker. She did not have an issue with the dogs but was worried about the dogs causing issues with horse riders. Did not wish to pursue issue but wanted the dog walker to be reminded to keep better control of the dogs. Dog walker called and message left.

A Deputy was dispatched to a two Vehicle Traffic Accident in Friday Harbor. The reporting Deputy arrived and contacted the persons involved. Infraction issued to one of the driver’s for Failing to Drive on the Right Side of the Roadway.

A Friday Harbor resident came in and reported fraudulent activity. Investigation continues.

A Lopez Island Deputy took a report from a local resident of threats being made against the victim and victim’s family. The matter is under investigation.
