WEDNESDAY, MARCH 19
25-001515 Fraud 12:16:50 03/19/25
An Orcas Island Deputy authored a report to help a local citizen with bank fraud. The citizen was a victim of check fraud and did receive their money back. The incident was documented.

25-001517 Trespassing 13:50:46 03/19/25
An Orcas Island Deputy helped a local business with a trespassing problem. A local individual experiencing mental health problems attempted to enter a business that they were trespassed from. When Deputies arrived, the individual had already left the area. The incident was documented.

25-001518 Accident-Injury, Traffic 16:56:00 03/19/25
San Juan Deputies, EMS, and Fire responded to a report of a single vehicle accident. The driver failed to negotiate a curve in the road, went off the embankment and landed in a swamp. The driver was issued citations for negligent driving 1st, DWLS 3rd, and was issued additional infractions.

THURSDAY, MARCH 20
25-001525 Unwanted Person 11:32:03 03/20/25
A Deputy was contacted about Unwanted Person on business property. Two persons were issued Trespass Letters and removed from the business property. Report taken.

25-001526 Unconscious ALS 12:03:04 03/20/25
San Juan Island Deputies responded to a death investigation and noted no evidence of suspicious activity and believe the person died of natural causes. A Uniform Death Report was sent to the Coroner’s Office.

25-001535 Trespassing 18:41:28 03/20/25
An Orcas Island Deputy assisted a business owner in the Rosario area with a trespassing problem. The business owner did not want the suspect to be trespassed at this time and the incident was documented.

25-001537 Vehicle Theft 19:47:35 03/20/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a vehicle theft. The owner called a phone that was left in the vehicle and a location was obtained. The Deputy located the vehicle and an individual was arrested for DUI. They also appear to suffer from dementia.

FRIDAY, MARCH 21
25-001546 Civil Problem 12:09:30 03/21/25
A Lopez resident requested assistance with a court order violation related to a divorce. A report will be forwarded to the court.

25-001548 Unwanted Person 13:47:02 03/21/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an unwanted person experiencing a mental health crisis at a local business. Deputies attempted to help the individual by providing resources for mental health however the individual declined help. The individual was trespassed from the business.

25-001555 Trespassing 16:34:18 03/21/25
Orcas Island Deputies responded to a person experiencing a mental health crisis trespassing at a local business. Deputies arrested the individual and the individual was admitted into the hospital pending mental health treatment. The person was later booked into jail for multiple charges.

25-001559 Accident-NonInj 20:30:39 03/21/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to traffic accident in the Eastsound area. A vehicle drove off the road onto the side of the road and was stuck in the mud. An investigation revealed that the driver was not under the influence of any substance. The incident was documented.

25-001560 Fraud 23:19:05 03/21/25
An Orcas Island Deputy assisted a local elderly citizen identify an over the phone Amazon scam. The savvy citizen was not fooled by the scammer and just wanted reassurance from the Sheriff’s Office.

SATURDAY, MARCH 22
25-001564 Domestic Dispute or Assault 08:53:02 03/22/25
Deputies were dispatched to a Domestic in the San Juan Island area. Deputies arrived and spoke with the people involved. The incident was found to be a verbal argument only. One person was arrested on a warrant from another county. Report taken.

25-001580 Accident-NonInj 21:09:26 03/22/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a non-injury accident in the Eastsound area. A vehicle dodged hitting a deer but ended up stuck on an embankment. The vehicle received minor damage, was winched out, and drove home. It was a learning experience for the young driver.

25-001581 Citizen Dispute 22:18:10 03/22/25
A Lopez Deputy responded to a verbal disagreement at a bar. Both parties had departed by the time the Deputy arrived.

SUNDAY, MARCH 23
25-001583 Theft 09:24:42 03/23/25
An Orcas Island Deputy took a trespassing / theft report. The reporting party alleged a subject who was a former tenant on her property returned and removed items from the reporting party’s property without permission.

25-001586 Accident-NonInj 10:59:18 03/23/25
A Deputy responded to a Traffic Accident in the Friday Harbor area. Deputy arrived on scene. A vehicle had suffered a mechanical failure and had struck a building. Information was exchanged and a report taken.

MONDAY, MARCH 24
25-001606 Threats 15:04:15 03/24/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island was assigned a threats call. The complainant sent compromising photos to a person they met online. The recipient told the complainant they would share the photographs with their contacts if they did not pay them in prepaid gift cards.

25-001607 Theft 15:08:21 03/24/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of mail theft. A report was completed.

25-001615 Harassment 19:57:03 03/24/25
A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a Harassment call. The incident was documented.

TUESDAY, MARCH 25
25-001627 Accident-NonInj 13:44:34 03/25/25
An Orcas Island Deputy took a report of a non-injury property damage only traffic collision at the intersection of Main Street and North Beach Road.

25-001628 Theft 13:47:58 03/25/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a theft complaint. The complaint was investigated and determined to be unfounded.

25-001637 Missing Person 17:56:23 03/25/25
A six-year-old was reported missing. The child was located and reunited with their parents.

25-001641 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 21:53:17 03/25/25
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to what was reported as possible human remains on a beach. Upon investigation, the item was determined to be made of rubber/silicone, with an unknown origin or purpose. The item was disposed of and an informational report was completed.
