A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a vehicle vs pedestrian collision on Roche Harbor Rd. The pedestrian was flown off island for injuries.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a hit and run collision in Friday Harbor. The reporting party located a note on the windshield from the driver who struck their vehicle, insurance information was exchanged, and the incident was documented.

A Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in Eastsound. There were no injuries and an accident report was filed.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a citizen dispute in Friday Harbor. The incident was documented.
21-002236 Controlled Substance Problem 10:19:17 03/18/21
A Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to suspicious vehicle in Eastsound. The vehicle was located and the driver was discovered to have a felony warrant issued by Oak Harbor PD. The suspect was arrested and transported to jail.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was tagged as abandoned and was impounded after 72 hours.

A Deputy responded to a report of an unemployment fraud scam. The caller stated an unknown person attempted to file for unemployment benefits in Illinois under his name and the claim was denied. No loss incurred and a report was made. There is no suspect information or workable leads.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a hit-and-run complaint. The offending vehicle was still on-scene. The driver was identified and agreed to pay for the damage. The Deputy determined no crime had been committed and cleared the call with an informational report.

A San Juan Deputy observed a pedestrian approach a vehicle in an intersection and kick the driver’s door, creating an argument. The driver did not wish to pursue charges and the incident was documented.

A Deputy on San Juan responded to a report of a welfare check. The subject who was on alcohol release conditions was intoxicated. A report was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for the release conditions violation.

Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the Eastsound area. It was determined that no crime was committed. An informational report was taken.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Welfare Check in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting Deputy made contact with the person. The Deputy transported the person to get assistance. Report taken.

A Deputy was dispatched to Suspicious Circumstance in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting Deputy arrived and contacted the person. The person stated their front door had been damaged. No suspects at this time.

Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a driving complaint. The driver was investigated for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs. There was insufficient probable cause for an arrest. The driver was released with a warning for open container of marijuana.

Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched to an assault in progress in the Eastsound area. The parties separated prior to law enforcement’s arrival. Neither party wanted to provide any information regarding the assault or the circumstances around it. An informational report was taken.

A Deputy responded to a report of a what sounded like an explosion on the west side of San Juan Island. After a 2 hour search of the area between Mt. Dallas/Westside Rd area & the pullouts at the west side preserve, no evidence of an explosion was located. Informational report made.

A Deputy on San Juan responded to an erratic driver complaint. The driver was arrested for DUI and issued infractions for wheels off roadway and driving left of center.
MONDAY, MARCH 22

A Lopez Deputy was called to check on an erratic driver at the ferry terminal. The driver was detained for a welfare check and exam by EMS. It was determined the driver was suffering from a medical condition.

A Lopez Island Deputy was sent to check on the welfare of a subject after friends were unable to reach him for a couple of days. He was located and asked to contact the requesting party.

A Deputy on San Juan took a report of fraud. There was no monetary loss. The incident was documented.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a vandalism complaint. The complainant was contacted and an investigation commenced.

A man from Issaquah reported that while visiting Orcas Island he believed his vehicle was struck while parked at the Island Market. An investigation is ongoing. A report was taken.
