23-001723 Medical Emergency 06:21:01 03/15/23
While working as a corrections officer for the San Juan County Sheriff’s office I received a message on 03/14/2023, a defendant who had an outstanding San Juan County warrant had been arrested and was being held at the Skagit County Jail.

23-001733 Citizen Assist 15:00:30 03/15/23
A female was asked to leave a residence she did not live in and was transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.

23-001734 Harassment 15:11:14 03/15/23
A Deputy took a call regarding a harassment complaint. The owner of a home had a contractor who she had parted ways with. She later discovered cameras around her property placed by the contractor after she requested he not place the cameras. An informational report was taken.

23-001744 Court Order Violation 22:26:14 03/15/23
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of an order violation. Based on the information obtained, there is not sufficient evidence at this time to show that the order was violated. A report was completed.

THURSDAY, MARCH 16
23-001749 Found Property 11:29:08 03/16/23
A citizen located a toy gun on Jackson’s Beach in Friday Harbor. The toy was turned over to the Sheriff’s Office. It is unknown who the owner is and the Deputy booked it into evidence as found property.

23-001750 Agency Assistance 11:49:33 03/16/23
Adult Protective Services requested a welfare check on a Lopez resident. A report was completed and forwarded to an outside agency.

23-001751 Found Property 12:11:27 03/16/23
A San Juan Deputy took custody of found pills located on Warbass Way. The pills were in a small Ziplock bag; they tested positive for oxycodone and bore no information to identify the owner. They were placed into evidence for destruction.

A Lopez Deputy assisted a caller regarding a possible parenting plan violation.

23-001758 Missing Person 15:57:03 03/16/23
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a missing person with dementia. The Deputy searched, but the person was not located. At the time of report, the reporting party did not wish to complete a missing person packet.

23-001765 Citizen Dispute 18:25:09 03/16/23
Deputies responded to a report of 2 Orcas females fighting in the street. On arrival, it was determined that both women were just arguing in the street. No arrest was made and they were separated.

FRIDAY, MARCH 17
23-001785 Trespassing 13:53:14 03/17/23
A San Juan Deputy took a cold report of trespassing. The incident is still under investigation.

23-001789 Animal at Large 16:30:45 03/17/23
A San Juan Deputy took custody of a dog-at-large. The dog was transported to the owner, who was issued a dog-at-large warning letter.

23-001793 Burglary – Residential 19:46:35 03/17/23
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a residential burglary. Deputies checked the residence but did not see any signs of activity.

SATURDAY, MARCH 18
23-001800 Trespassing 10:08:58 03/18/23
An Orcas Deputy responded to the public library who requested a subject be trespassed from the facility. The subject was located and issued a trespass warning notice.

23-001805 Threats 12:53:51 03/18/23
A San Juan Deputy took a report of threats. The threats were made in a scam case and the suspect was not identified. No loss was incurred in the incident and the information was documented.

23-001809 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 16:03:36 03/18/23
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a possible tracking device placed on their OBD II port in their vehicle. The device was determined to be a tracking device and an ex-partner admitted to the Deputy that they placed it in the vehicle several years prior. The incident was documented.

23-001811 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 16:34:51 03/18/23
Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a trespassing complaint. The suspects were gone on arrival. The investigation is ongoing.

23-001822 Theft 22:47:18 03/18/23
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a theft. No crime appeared to have occurred and the incident was documented.

23-001823 Accident-Injury, Traffic 22:50:40 03/18/23
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on West Valley Rd. The driver was arrested for DUI and booked into jail.

SUNDAY, MARCH 19
23-001824 Welfare Check 09:19:22 03/19/23
Deputies responded to a welfare check to find the resident deceased. No foul play suspected.

23-001825 Theft 11:16:36 03/19/23
A Lopez resident reported the theft of cedar garden stakes from their barn.

23-001827 Lost Property 12:28:28 03/19/23
A Deputy took a report of a lost phone on Orcas Island. The information was added to a lost property report to help identify in the event the item is found.

MONDAY, MARCH 20
23-001852 Trespassing 16:10:21 03/20/23
A Deputy on San Juan spoke with a controlling authority of a business, who wished to trespass an individual. The individual was located and served with a trespass warning letter. A report was completed.

23-001855 Welfare Check 18:39:45 03/20/23
A Deputy on San Juan responded to a welfare check in Friday Harbor. The individual was located and was immediately identified. The individual was intoxicated and declined to provide a breath sample when requested, per their court conditions. A report was completed.

TUESDAY, MARCH 21
23-001862 Citizen Assist 09:51:31 03/21/23
The San Juan Community Theater turned in several prop guns that have been used over the years to be destroyed.

23-001870 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 14:50:10 03/21/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a call of a person with a gun at South Beach. The Deputy responded and contacted a person who had an air rifle. The Deputy talked with the person and explained that they were not allowed to shoot it in a public place.

23-001873 Theft 18:18:11 03/21/23
A Deputy on Orcas Island investigated a theft complaint. There is insufficient evidence to believe a crime has been committed. Arrangements were made to return the items.

23-001874 Citizen Dispute 19:34:10 03/21/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a citizen dispute. A neighbors feline companion continued to use a different houses yard as a litter box. A resolution was found and will be worked on. A report was completed.
