A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a report of vandalism. The incident was documented.

24-003821 Found Property 13:00:12 06/26/24
A wallet with ID was found on Sunshine Alley and turned into the Sheriff’s Office. The owner is currently trying to be contacted. The wallet was booked into the property room.

A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a dog at large call and the incident was documented.

24-003823 Citizen Dispute 13:06:11 06/26/24
A Deputy on Orcas was dispatched to call back a reporting party about something that occurred on an outer island. The reporting party only wanted the incident documented.

A pair of wireless earbuds were found outside the community theater on the sidewalk. There are no markings on them signifying who the owners is. They were booked into the property and evidence room.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a citizen assist. The incident was documented.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Trespass in the Friday Harbor area. Two people were issued Trespass Warning Letters. Report taken.

24-003836 Assault – Aggravated 10:29:20 06/27/24
Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a fight at a hardware store. A 43 year old male subject was arrested for assault and booked into jail.

24-003837 Overdose 10:34:51 06/27/24 
A Deputy was dispatched to an Overdose in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy arrived and secured the scene. San Juan Aid arrived to treat the person. Report taken.

24-003850 Accident-Injury, Traffic 18:52:14 06/27/24
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision. Investigation revealed that the driver was not impaired, nor had they been operating their vehicle recklessly. The driver was issued an infraction.

A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to an abandoned vehicle on private property. The owner was contacted, and the incident was documented.

24-003869 Fraud 13:53:35 06/28/24
The Sheriff’s Office received a report of fraud over Facebook. Information was gathered and an investigation is ongoing.

San Juan County Deputies observed a vessel docked in West Sound. The owner was subsequently issued an infraction for expired registration.

San Juan County Deputies observed a vessel docked in West Sound. The owner was subsequently issued an infraction for expired registration.

San Juan County Deputies observed a vessel moored in Deer Harbor. The owner was subsequently issued an infraction for expired registration.

San Juan County Deputies observed a vessel moored in Shipyard Cove. The owner was subsequently issued an infraction for expired registration.

24-003907 Accident-HitRun 19:57:38 06/29/24
A Lopez Deputy responded when a vehicle traveling from Center Road to Mud Bay Road failed to negotiate a turn. The vehicle crashed into a street sign and the guard rail. The driver fled before the Deputy could make contact.

SUNDAY, JUNE 30

A Deputy was dispatched to a Parking Problem in the Orcas Island area. The Deputy arrived and located a vehicle parked in a location prohibited by posted signs. The vehicle was impounded.

24-003928 Death Investigation 18:17:42 06/30/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to an unattended death in Friday Harbor. The coroner was contacted and an investigation was conducted. It appeared as though the individual passed away from natural causes. A report was completed.

A Deputy on Orcas received a report about a stolen business sign. A report was taken.

24-003937 Accident-HitRun 13:20:29 07/01/24
An Orcas Island Deputy took a report of a hit and run that occurred on private property.

24-003941 Accident-NonInj 15:39:11 07/01/24
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a vehicle collision. None of the involved required an EMS response. An investigation commenced and the results were documented in a report.

TUESDAY, JULY 2
24-003967 Domestic Dispute or Assault 11:43:01 07/02/24
San Juan Island Deputies responded to a report of a domestic assault between a mother, her girlfriend, and her son. After an investigation, the son was arrested for assault 4th and booked into the jail pending a hearing with a judge.

A Deputy on Orcas was dispatched to a citizen dispute near Eastsound. The disruptive person was asked to leave and did so. An informational report was taken.
