June 24, 2015
15-003325 Accident-Injury, Traffic 01:09:44 06/24/15: An Orcas deputy was dispatched to the area of White Beach Road and Polar Circle Eastsound in regards to a vehicle roll over accident that occurred at some time. The vehicle had been abandon at the scene. Driver found the next day, admitted he was ejected from vehicle and fled.
15-003327 Malicious Mischief 09:13:33 06/24/15: A deputy responded to McBarron Lane, Lopez Island, for a damaged car window complaint. The vehicle was unoccupied when the window was damaged. There was no evidence as how or who did it or if it was done intentionally. No witnesses or suspects were identified.
15-003336 Threats 16:22:46 06/24/15: A deputy responded to an Eastsound business regarding threats. It was determined that the reporting victim had received several threatening text messages from a known subject. Informational only at this time.
15-003339 Accident-NonInj 17:23:04 06/24/15: A San Juan Deputy responded to investigate a reported one vehicle crash. The vehicle was towed from the scene and there were no injuries. A report was written and photos taken.
15-003340 Found Property 17:31:00 06/24/15: A Lopez Island woman reported finding a gun case laying along the roadway. No gun was inside.
15-003341 Vicious Animal 19:17:21 06/24/15: A Lopez Island deputy was sent to check on two dogs that had been left home alone for two days, allegedly without food and water. The dogs were found in good condition, with food, water and shelter.
15-003342 Accident-NonInj 21:02:59 06/24/15: A Deputy drove up on a crash just after it happened on on San Juan Island. The Deputy investigated, took photos and gathered information. A report was written.
15-003346 Theft 21:46:19 06/24/15: A Deputy received a report of a theft in the 200 block of De Haro Ln. The victim reported that a jar of coins was stolen from his residence.

15-003355 Theft 09:57:18 06/25/15: A Deputy took a theft complaint from a Lopez Island resident. The reporting person/victim stated an unidentified person(s) stole two “private road no trespassing” signs, valued at $40.00 each. One of the signs was on her property and the other was on her neighbor’s property.
15-003359 Malicious Mischief 14:07:54 06/25/15: A land owner in Eastsound reported that an unknown person topped his cedar tree during the previous week.
15-003365 Wanted Person 16:30:32 06/25/15: A Deputy on San Juan Island met with an individual at the Sheriffs Office and served him with a protection order and arrested him on an outstanding warrant.
15-003370 Assault – Aggravated 20:00:19 06/25/15: A Deputy responded to Hilltop Way, Lopez Island, for an assault in progress. The suspect attempted to strike the reporting person with rocks and then shattered his home window with a shovel. The suspect also assaulted the responding Deputy and was subsequently flown off island for mental evaluation.

15-003375 Domestic Dispute or Assault 08:12:13 06/26/15: Deputies were dispatched to the area of Grover Street and Hamilton Ranch Road on San Juan to investigate a report of a child being assaulted.
15-003377 Court Order Violation 08:48:25 06/26/15: An Eastsound man violated a no contact order, case was referred to the prosecutor.
15-003383 Citizen Dispute 15:19:25 06/26/15: A Lopez deputy was assigned to a citizen dispute involving possible vandalism to property. Investigation is ongoing.
15-003394 Traffic Stop 22:11:43 06/26/15: A SJC Deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding on North Beach Road, Eastsound. The investigation determined there was probable cause to believe the driver was driving under the influence. The driver was arrested, processed and released with a promise to appear in court.

15-003396 Domestic Dispute or Assault 00:11:51 06/27/15: Deputies responded to the 1400 block of Rosario Road in regards to a possible domestic disturbance. Deputies determined that it was a loud discussion between two adults, not an argument. Both very cooperative with law enforcement.
15-003397 Wildland Fire 00:15:58 06/27/15: A Deputy received a report of a fire along side the road in the 3300 block of San Juan Valley Rd. A marine flare was used to ignite the fire.
15-003407 Assault – Aggravated 11:55:40 06/27/15: A man attempted to take a purse from an 18 year old girl in Eastsound. She fought with the man and was able to escape with her purse. Deputies are searching for the suspect.
15-003415 Unconscious 20:07:16 06/27/15: EMS was dispatched to a house in Friday Harbor to attend to an unconscious female.
15-003418 Illegal Fireworks 20:57:09 06/27/15: A Lopez Island resident reported a large group in a neighboring vacation rental were setting off fireworks. The reporting party requested that they be informed of the county fireworks ban.
15-003419 Assault – Body Force 21:51:23 06/27/15: A Lopez Island deputy was called upon to investigate an assault that had occurred earlier in the day.
June 28, 2015
15-003425 Unwanted Person 00:46:38 06/28/15: A Lopez Island deputy responded to the Galley Restaurant on an unruly, unwanted patron. The subject left as the deputy arrived, and returned again later causing additional problems.
15-003446 Weapons Offense 19:24:03 06/28/15: A Lopez Island man and woman reported that another man pointed a gun at them as they were driving down the road. The suspect, a 46 year old Lopez man was arrested. A gun was recovered.
15-003447 Domestic Dispute or Assault 22:01:28 06/28/15: A deputy was dispatched to Roche Harbor Rd in reference to a Verbal Domestic.

15-003474 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 22:32:28 06/29/15: A Lopez Island deputy responded to the Lopez Village area on a report of a man behaving strangely, possibly on drugs or mentally ill. The man was gone when the deputy arrived.
15-003475 Unwanted Person 23:08:30 06/29/15: A Lopez Island deputy responded to a local bar on a report that a patron, previously trespassed from the establishment, had returned. The subject left prior to the deputy’s arrival.

15-003504 Found Property 08:31:06 07/01/15: A wallet was found in Dispatch. There was no indication of who turned it in or when. It is presumed to have been found and turned in late on 06/30/15, and not documented. I contacted Wells Fargo to check on VISA and Debit cards in the wallet. It was confirmed that the owner was aware of the loss.

This report is so much longer than in previous months. It would appear that our summer guests do not know how to behave themselves. Yet they would like us to welcome then to our islands and the Chamber of Commerce would like us to embrace tourism. Makes it a little hard to love these guys.
