An Orcas Island Deputy took a theft report. The victim alleged an unknown person entered her art studio and stole one painting valued at $2500.00. Nothing else of value was disturbed or taken. There are no investigative leads or suspect information.
25-003703 Accident-HitRun 17:01:20 06/18/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a minor fender bender at a store in Eastsound. An exchange of driver’s information was conducted, and a report was authored for both parties’ insurance company.
THURSDAY, JUNE 19
25-003714 Domestic Dispute or Assault 11:03:47 06/19/25
Deputies on Orcas responded to a residence for a domestic dispute. An adult male was taken into custody for assault, malicious mischief, and interfering with a domestic violence report.

A Lopez Deputy responded when a Decatur Island resident received an anonymous hate letter. The matter is under investigation.
25-003721 Accident-HitRun 14:27:57 06/19/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a hit and run. It was reported that a vehicle hit a parked vehicle after a confrontation between drivers. The suspect was given a criminal citation for Hit and Run and was given an infraction for not having insurance.

A Deputy on viewed a minor single car accident without injuries at the intersection of Nichols St & Argyle Ave. An incident report and a state collision report were completed.
25-003730 Trespassing 18:27:19 06/19/25
An Orcas Island Deputy assisted a business owner in the Rosario area with a trespassing incident. The citizen was advised that they were trespassed and issued a trespass warning letter. The incident was documented.
25-003737 Wanted Person 21:45:40 06/19/25
San Juan Island Deputies contacted an individual at the Sheriff’s Office known to have an active warrant. Deputies placed the individual under arrest for the warrant and new charges for resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance were issued.
FRIDAY, JUNE 20
25-003739 Abandoned Vehicle 07:38:12 06/20/25
The Sheriff’s Office received a report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was located and found with its license plates and VIN removed. The vehicle was impounded and vehicle owner information was found.
25-003745 Theft 13:32:46 06/20/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of theft from a business in Friday Harbor. The person was contacted and issued a citation for theft third degree.
25-003748 Citizen Assist 15:17:18 06/20/25
An Orcas Island Deputy helped author a report of fraud for a local citizen. The incident revolved around an Uber Eats application on a mobile device. The Deputy provided a police report number for the citizen to help with their dispute with a bank.
25-003757 Vicious Animal 21:35:51 06/20/25
A Lopez Deputy responded when a vehicle containing several puppies was found on Islandale Road. The driver was quickly located nearby and reported having vehicle issues. The puppies were transported home.
SATURDAY, JUNE 21
25-003763 Medical BLS 10:57:09 06/21/25
A Deputy was called out to assist in the holding facility with an in custody person who needed assistance from EMS with the administration of one of his medications. EMS assisted the in custody person without incident and he was returned to the holding cell. Report completed.
25-003767 Domestic Dispute or Assault 14:15:43 06/21/25
The Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. The scene was investigated and was found that no crime had occurred and the disturbance was verbal only.

A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a theft from a local store. The Deputy took the report. This case is still under investigation.
25-003805 Theft 16:14:43 06/22/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a theft from a store in Friday Harbor. An adult female decided to steal from a store, while a uniformed Deputy was in the store reviewing camera footage from a different theft earlier in the day. A criminal citation was issued for theft 3.

A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a fraud call. The incident was documented.

25-003833 Death Investigation 15:19:00 06/23/25
Lopez Island Deputies were dispatched with Lopez Island Fire & EMS to a medical call. The incident was documented.
TUESDAY, JUNE 24
25-003864 Theft 17:42:36 06/24/25
A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a theft call. The reporting party advised that he had a package stolen from his mailbox. The incident was documented and the investigation is ongoing.
