Lopez Deputies responded when an individual was being argumentative with restaurant staff. When Deputies located the individual, he was drinking from a wine bottle in the Community Center Park. An infraction for consuming alcohol in public was issued and he was trespassed from the eatery.

Deputies responded to a lodging facility in Eastsound on a report of a domestic disturbance. Through further investigation it appeared the dispute remained verbal and no crimes had occurred.

Deputies were contacted about a Theft in San Juan County. Several items had been taken from an outer island. Report taken.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a welfare check. An individual was heavily intoxicated and was transported to the hospital by EMS.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a report of a suspicious man walking around in the Village. The man was asked to leave a restaurant and reportedly walking near private homes. Deputies had contact with the individual the previous day and believe he could be experiencing a mental health crisis.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a burglary at a business. The suspect fled in a vehicle and the Deputy located the vehicle as it was pulling into a driveway. The individual was arrested for burglary in the second degree, driving under the influence, and obstructing.

A Lopez Deputy was dispatched to the area of Hummel Lake for a male yelling during the early morning hours. The male was contacted and no assistance was needed. Several reports have been forwarded to the appropriate service providers for this situation.

A Lopez Deputy found a male sleeping in the woods during the early morning hours. The male was identified and moved along.

A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a non-injury motor vehicle collision on Port Stanley Road. The driver had taken his eyes off the road momentarily and driven into a deep ditch. A tow truck was dispatched and removed the vehicle. The incident was documented.

Deputies on Orcas Island responded to an assault complaint. The victim, the manager of a local resort, did not wish to pursue charges. Numerous people were trespassed from the resort at the manager’s request.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of found property. An individual found a wallet while hiking at Lime Kiln State Park and turned it in to the Sheriff’s Office. The wallet was secured into evidence as found

24-003587 Burglary – Residential 16:42:55 06/17/24
Lopez Island Deputies were dispatched to a not-in-progress residential burglary. The home was cleared and the scene was processed. Evidence was collected and sent to the WSP crime lab. The investigation is ongoing.

A Deputy on San Juan Island discovered damage to his patrol car. The Deputy observed that there was a rock imbedded in the passengers side tail light.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded along with Orcas Fire and EMS personnel to a possible overdose. The victim waived further medical care and declined to answer questions posed by law enforcement.

A San Juan Island resident turned in a number of boxes of random shotgun ammunition for destruction. They were booked into the property and evidence room.

A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a motor vehicle collision at a local business. There were no injuries and only minor damage. The parties swapped insurance information and an informational report was taken.
