Lopez Deputies responded to a domestic call. Upon investigation, the incident was determined to be non-criminal. A report was taken.

A Deputy responded to a report of a local business that wanted a person trespassed from their business. The business owner signed a trespass letter, provided a written statement, and the person involved was served the trespass letter. Report made.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of trespassing. Two individuals were issued trespass notices from private property.

A San Juan Deputy was flagged down regarding litter. The litter (including a broken glass pipe) were removed from the sidewalk. The owner of the litter was located and issued an infraction.

A San Juan Deputy observed three individuals smoking marijuana at a local playground. All three individuals were issued infractions for consuming marijuana in public.

22-005223 Animal Bite 06:52:19 07/28/22
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of an animal bite that occurred at Jackson Beach involving a Rottweiler or German Shepherd mix. The dog was not located and the incident was documented.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of trespassing. One individual was issued a trespass warning letter and the incident was documented.

22-005228 Controlled Substance Problem 09:23:50 07/28/22
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of drugs. One of the individuals was found to be violating court ordered conditions of release and the Deputy’s report was sent to the adult probation officer.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of vagrancy at a local park. The individual was located and was issued trespass warning letters for several properties.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of an injury accident involving a motor scooter. The rider was transported to the hospital for treatment by San Juan Island EMS.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of disorderly conduct. One of the individuals had a warrant for their arrest and was booked into jail.

A Deputy on Orcas had a vehicle towed that had been parked on North Beach for over a month. A report was taken.

A Deputy on San Juan Island issued an infraction to an illegally parked vehicle and posted a 24 hour tow notice for its removal.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a report of a sheep on the road. By the time the Deputy arrived, the roads were clear and the goat was gone.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of an unwanted person. The Deputies contacted the suspect and another citizen who was on alcohol conditions. A report was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for the violation.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Trespassing in the Friday Harbor area. The person calling was contacted. The person stated another person with a Trespass Warning Letter was on the property but did not
wish to pursue charges at this time. The person was contacted and warned.

A Deputy witnessed a two car minor accident in Friday Harbor. A parked vehicle backed into a trailer being pulled by a truck. There were no injuries and a state collision report was completed.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a domestic. No crime was committed and the report was forwarded to CPS and Juvenile Court Services for follow up.

A Lopez resident reported the possible theft of a wallet and car keys.

A found wallet was turned over to a Lopez Deputy. The out of state owner could not be located and the wallet was logged into evidence.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a fraud call. A Lopez citizen reported that multiple bank accounts were opened in their spouse’s name. A report was taken.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a report of a typically friendly dog nipping at a 2-year old’s lip. The 2-year-old was taken by their family to a health clinic in Anacortes. A report was taken.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a noise complaint. A small group of individuals having a late-night campfire were given a warning for boisterous singing.

Lopez Deputies investigated a boating collision in Fisherman Bay during the overnight hours.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of vandalism. A pride sign was ripped in half and a mailbox was bent over. There are no suspects or leads at this time. The incident was documented.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a boating complaint involving a vessel suspected in striking a private dock. A report was written.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a threats call in Eastsound. After an investigation was completed the reporting party wished for no action to be taken. A report was written.

A Deputy collected a bicycle near Eastsound that had been left on a property for over two weeks.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a theft of an “Eric Peter for Sheriff” campaign sign on San Juan Dr. A case is currently being investigated for RCW 29A.84.040 Political advertising, removing or defacing.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a Trespassing complaint in Eastsound. A local business had a citizen served with a Trespass Warning Letter, informing them that if they entered the business or property, they would be arrested. The person was found and notified.

22-005419 Domestic Dispute or Assault 11:10:26 08/02/22
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a domestic between two juvenile brothers. The incident was documented.

22-005421 Accident-HitRun 11:24:45 08/02/22
A Deputy was dispatched to a Hit and Run in the Lopez Island area. The Deputy located a damaged mailbox. Report taken.

22-005422 Lost Property 11:58:44 08/02/22
A Deputy was dispatched to Lost Property in the Lopez Island area. The Deputy located the lost item which was entered into evidence. The owner of the property was advised and a report was taken.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of threats. One individual was arrested for harassment and was booked into jail.

22-005424 Wanted Person 13:02:09 08/02/22
A Deputy located a person with an active misdemeanor warrant for their arrest. TheY placed the person under arrest for the confirmed active warrant without incident and booked the person into jail awaiting a next day hearing. Report made.

22-005426 Trespassing 14:28:32 08/02/22
A Deputy responded to a trespassing call at the Port of Friday Harbor on Front St. Port management requested an individual trespassed from all Port properties. A trespass letter was signed and will be served to the individual involved when located. Report made.

22-005436 Citizen Assist 21:03:00 08/02/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island spoke with a citizen on the telephone who is concerned with their elderly parents’ wellbeing. The Deputy documented the provided information and followed up with local medical personnel. A report was completed and forwarded to Adult Protective Services.
