TUESDAY, JULY 15
25-004526 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 15:23:52 07/15/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a suspicious incident. The caller reported finding an open parcel on his property. The intended recipient was contacted. At the intended recipient’s request, a trespass warning letter was issued.

WENESDAY, JULY 16
25-004539 Mental Health 01:48:32 07/16/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island assisted the United States Coast Guard with a possible domestic violence incident in Echo Bay. The caller was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. The other occupant fled prior to contact and was charged with assaulting the caller.

25-004552 Accident-Injury, Traffic 14:39:01 07/16/25
A Deputy responded to a reported collision on Deer Harbor Rd. A tractor implement had struck an object on the shoulder of the road and rolled down an embankment. The driver was evaluated at the scene. A collision report was generated.

25-004562 Malicious Mischief 21:13:02 07/16/25
A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a vandalism call near the village. The incident was documented, and an individual was trespassed from the property.

25-004567 Trauma BLS 23:34:54 07/16/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded with EMS to a report of a bleeding injury. The Deputy arrived on scene first and applied a pressure dressing to the large wound and waited for EMS to arrive. EMS arrived on scene and took over patient care. A report was completed.

A Lopez man was trespassed from a village business.

25-004575 Domestic Dispute or Assault 10:45:38 07/17/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a domestic incident. After interviewing both parties no crime appeared to have occurred.

25-004576 Malicious Mischief 11:02:45 07/17/25
A Lopez Deputy completed an informational report documenting damage likely caused by a local man with mental health issues. Deputies have repeatedly requested assistance for this person from mental health care providers and the courts.

25-004589 Welfare Check 15:54:13 07/17/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a welfare check. The individual was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a welfare check at an apartment complex in Eastsound. After the Deputy investigated the concern there was no evidence that a crime was committed. The incident was documented.

25-004593 Accident-NonInj 18:47:00 07/17/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a minor fender bender in the parking lot of a restaurant in Eastsound. Both drivers conducted an exchange of information. The Deputy authored a report for the insurance company.

FRIDAY, JULY 18
25-004602 Attempted Suicide 01:41:50 07/18/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a suicide attempt. A juvenile was taken into protective custody and was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

25-004604 Accident-Injury, Traffic 06:54:10 07/18/25
An Orcas Island Deputy and Orcas Island Fire and Rescue responded to a collision in Eastsound. The motorcycle rider received minor injuries. The Deputy issued an infraction to the driver for operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

25-004606 Property Damage, Non Vandalism 08:45:29 07/18/25
A Lopez resident reported damage to their mailbox. A vehicle part was left at the scene and collected as evidence.

25-004609 Theft 10:38:13 07/18/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of theft. The incident was investigated, and no suspect information exists at this time.

25-004618 Trespassing 13:08:22 07/18/25
A Lopez woman was arrested for criminal trespass after violating a court ordered eviction.

25-004626 Communications Problem 14:32:36 07/18/25
A Deputy responded to a “Communications” call. After speaking with the caller and another involved person, it was determined that no crime was committed and an information report was completed.

25-004633 Traffic Violation 16:22:18 07/18/25
An Orcas Island Deputy called a Shaw Island citizen who reported a traffic offense on Shaw. Unfortunately, the suspected person does not live full time on Shaw and when the Deputy arrived, they were gone. The incident was documented.

25-004641 Accident-HitRun 21:58:59 07/18/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a vehicle accident hit and run in the Eastsound area. The driver of the vehicle was not sure where the vehicle hit and wanted the accident to be documented.

SATURDAY, JULY 19
25-004645 Death Investigation 10:04:20 07/19/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a CPR in-progress call. The victim was beyond saving. A death investigation commenced.

25-004646 Theft 10:39:15 07/19/25
RP called back and Post San Juan had package – all good.

25-004650 Threats 15:01:06 07/19/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a threat incident by calling the victim who lives in Seattle. The victim did not want to assist the Sheriff’s Office in an investigation. The incident was documented.

25-004656 Found Property 17:37:11 07/19/25
The Sheriff’s Office took possession of a lost wallet. The wallet and its contents were entered into evidence for it to be returned to its owner.

SUNDAY, JULY 20
25-004669 Malicious Mischief 08:38:24 07/20/25
A kiosk at the Lopez Hill Preserve was ripped from its location by an unknown vehicle and left in the middle of the parking lot.

25-004678 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 11:55:06 07/20/25
A Lopez resident reported a possible domestic assault captured on their security camera. A report was completed and the video footage was saved for evidence.

25-004694 Domestic Dispute or Assault 21:12:00 07/20/25
Lopez Island Deputies responded to a reported domestic disturbance. Through the investigation it was determined the incident was a juvenile issue. A report was completed.

MONDAY, JULY 21
25-004702 Malicious Mischief 09:22:48 07/21/25
A Lopez resident reported vandalism to mailboxes along Bayshore Road.

25-004716 Abandoned Vehicle 12:45:14 07/21/25
A trailer was abandoned at the MacKaye Harbor Boat ramp. Efforts are being made to locate the responsible party.

25-004722 Accident-HitRun 14:27:54 07/21/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a hit and run. The victim reported that their mailboxes were hit by a vehicle. Currently there are no suspects.

Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a vandalism call. The incident was documented.

25-004742 Malicious Mischief 19:08:28 07/21/25
A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a vandalism call. A piece of artwork that had been mounted by the road had been destroyed. The investigation is ongoing. The incident was documented.

TUESDAY, JULY 22
25-004752 Malicious Mischief 09:22:03 07/22/25
A sign was removed from a garden on the Lopez Community Center property. The sign was found broken and discarded on Fisherman Bay Road.

25-004754 Theft 09:54:51 07/22/25
A Lopez resident reported the theft of a bicycle from the village. This occurred within the past two weeks.

25-004761 Trespassing 14:24:30 07/22/25
Lopez Island Deputies were dispatched to a trespassing call. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody. The individual was transported to Friday Harbor to be booked into the San Juan County Jail.
