22-004733 Assault – Body Force 15:55:39 07/13/22
A Deputy on San Juan took a delayed walk-in report of an assault that occurred the day prior. A suspect was identified but was unable to be located. A probable cause statement was completed and sent to the prosecutor’s office for review. A report was completed.

22-004745 Domestic Dispute or Assault 21:52:43 07/13/22
Deputies responded to a report of a Domestic incident in Friday Harbor involving a minor damaging property & assaulting the parent. The minor was arrested and released after a detention risk assessment was completed. Report made. Probable cause statement sent to the Prosecutors Office.

22-004749 Domestic Dispute or Assault 09:28:49 07/14/22
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a domestic. One person was arrested and booked into jail for assault in the fourth degree – DV.

22-004752 Lost Property 10:32:24 07/14/22
A Deputy responded to a walk-in report of lost property. The reporting party reported losing her black, bi-fold wallet, containing approximately $150. The wallet was entered into the lost property log in Dispatch and an informational report completed.

22-004765 Welfare Check 16:24:30 07/14/22
A Deputy responded to a Welfare Check in Friday Harbor. The Deputy spoke with the parties involved and found the person who was the subject of the welfare was fine and denied needing law enforcement or medical assistance. Report made.

22-004766 Assault – Body Force 17:05:05 07/14/22
Orcas Island Deputies responded to an assault call. An investigation was conducted, and it was determined to be a domestic violence incident. One party was arrested and booked into jail.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a citizen assist. Information was documented about an altercation and possible threats that occurred the day before.

Deputies on Orcas responded to a trespassing call at an Eastsound business. The suspect was located, arrested and transport to jail in Friday Harbor.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of found property. The item was entered into the evidence system.

22-004787 Assault – Body Force 14:42:23 07/15/22
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of an assault. The incident was investigated and found the two stories were very different from each other. There was not enough corroborating evidence to make an arrest. Both parties were advised to stay away from each other.

A San Juan Deputy took a report of a Protection Order violation. The respondent in the order communicated with the protected party by making a rude hand gesture toward them. The case was forwarded to the Prosecutor for charging.

I received a call from an Orcas Island resident who said he was confronted by a subject at the Ferry Landing on Orcas Island. Complainant claims suspect asked him if he had recently been in his shop.

Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a person reportedly experiencing a mental health crisis.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a Citizen Assistance call on the 200 block of West Beach Rd. After an investigation it was determined no crime was committed and the matter was civil in nature. A report was authored.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the San Juan Island area. The Deputy arrived and contacted the people involved. The incident was verbal only with no crime committed. Report taken.

A Deputy on San Juan Island entered multiple found keys into the evidence system.

22-004808 Malicious Mischief 10:00:00 07/16/22
A Deputy on Lopez Island responded to a report of vandalism, a street sign had been knocked over and damaged over a week earlier. The Deputy photographed the sign. There are currently no suspects or workable leads. A report was completed.

22-004811 Animal Bite 12:14:57 07/16/22
A Deputy on Lopez Island responded to a report of an animal bite. The victim was treated by EMS and later went to the hospital. The victim did not want to pursue any criminal charges, as it was an accident. A report was completed.

22-004814 Wanted Person 13:41:00 07/16/22
A wanted subject was located by San Juan Island Deputies. The subject was booked into jail on an outstanding misdemeanor no bail warrant out of San Juan County District Court.

A Deputy on Lopez Island responded to a report of property damage. A citizen’s mailbox had been hit and knocked over earlier in the day. There are currently no suspects or workable leads. A report was completed.

22-004816 Trespassing 13:50:38 07/16/22
A local transient was located by a property owner in a parking area. A Deputy from the Sheriff’s office issued a trespass warning letter to the person at the request of the property owner.

A Lopez Deputy submitted a found wallet to evidence. Efforts to locate the out-of-town owner were unsuccessful.

SUNDAY, JULY 17
22-004845 Harassment 11:21:39 07/17/22
A Lopez Deputy completed a report documenting alleged harassment during an ongoing dispute between neighbors.

22-004849 Citizen Assist 14:32:41 07/17/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of a possible vehicle prowl. The suspect entered a vehicle and left a note inside. The incident is currently being investigated.

MONDAY, JULY 18
22-004875 Death Investigation 13:03:56 07/18/22
Lopez Deputies were dispatched to a report of CPR in progress. After lifesaving efforts were given, the victim was declared deceased. The death appears to be of natural causes.

22-004877 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 15:09:14 07/18/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of a verbal altercation at mailboxes. There was no physical contact, but the reporting party felt threatened. No immediately identifying information about the suspect was obtained. A report was completed.

22-004879 Accident-NonInj 16:31:15 07/18/22
An Orcas Deputy, along with Orcas Fire and Rescue units, responded to a two-vehicle non-injury collision. One of the drivers was issued a notice of infraction for violation of a learner’s permit, driving dangerously distracted and operating a motor vehicle without liability insurance.

TUESDAY, JULY 19
22-004886 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 08:34:42 07/19/22
A Deputy responded to a report of a suspicious circumstances on San Juan Island. After talking with the parties involved it was determined that there was no probable cause that a crime was committed and informational report completed.

22-004887 Wanted Person 10:15:01 07/19/22
San Juan Deputies located a subject with a felony warrant. While speaking with the suspect, they ran into their residence and locked the door. Deputies were able to get the subject to come outside and they were placed under arrest and booked into jail.

22-004892 Malicious Mischief 12:53:05 07/19/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of vandalism. Two mailboxes that were secured with concrete in the ground had been knocked over. The Deputy photographed the scene. There is currently no suspect information or workable leads. A report was completed.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to found property at a local business. The owner was contacted and the property return was set up.

A Deputy received a report of a found property. A watch was located in the women’s restroom at the courthouse. Currently it is unknown who the owner is. The watch was booked into evidence for safekeeping.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a mental call at the hospital. A patient wanted to report crimes and requested the Deputy go arrest the people right now. A report was completed.

A Deputy on San Juan Island booked an individual in to the Jail after they turned themselves in for the warrants they had. The individual was booked without incident.

22-004907 Malicious Mischief 19:49:07 07/19/22
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of vandalism. A back window on an unoccupied house had been broken out. It appeared as though someone had been inside. No biological evidence or latent fingerprints were able to be collected. An investigation is ongoing. A report was completed.
