A San Juan Deputy responded to a request to trespass an individual from a local business. A trespass notice letter was completed and signed by the employee. The involved party had already left and will be issued the letter at a later time.
22-000099 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 12:10:04 01/05/22
A Lopez Island resident discovered a quantity of miscellaneous mail from around the neighborhood discarded behind a hedge. The post office was notified, the mail was collected and a report taken.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a single-car, non-injury, reportable collision on Cattle Point Rd. The Deputy assisted tow in removing the vehicle before completing a collision report.
22-000105 Court Order Violation 16:25:41 01/05/22
A Deputy met with a Lopez Island resident after he requested the Deputy confirm that he had not consumed alcohol. The investigation revealed evidence of alcohol being in his system, which was a court order violation and the matter was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.

An Orcas Island Deputy investigated a Harassment call. The suspect was located and taken into custody without incident after a short chase on 01/08/2022. Multiple charges are being sought against the suspect through the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
22-000112 Burglary,NonRes 07:31:10 01/06/22
A Deputy on Orcas responded to a burglary of a business in Eastsound. After the investigation there is a possible suspect. The case is still on going. A report was taken.
22-000114 Animal at Large 08:02:05 01/06/22
A Lopez resident was issued a dog at large infraction. This is the third infraction issued to this dog owner within the past month.

A Lopez resident reported suspicious activity in the forest near their home. A Deputy checked the area on foot.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a trespassing call near Eastsound. The subject was identified, given a trespass warning letter to not come back on the property again, or they will be arrested for trespassing.

An Orcas Island Deputy authored an incident report regarding suspicious phone calls to a business.

Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a report of a vehicle vs pedestrian accident. Upon arrival, Deputies conducted an investigation, and it didn’t appear as though the person had been struck by a vehicle, but was injured. The patient was transported to a hospital for care.

Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a possible burglary at a local church. An investigation was conducted and after talking with the reporting party, it was discovered that there was no burglary.

A Lopez Deputy was called out to investigate reported incident of a prowler. No evidence or person was located at the scene.
22-000142 Trespassing 09:22:44 01/07/22
A Lopez Deputy was dispatched to check the welfare of a pedestrian. The person was not located.
22-000144 Theft 10:35:21 01/07/22
A Deputy was contacted in reference to a Theft in the San Juan Island area. The person was reporting an item had been taken from their mailbox. Incident was also reported to the Post Office. No suspects at this time but report taken.

An Orcas Island Deputy assisted Behavioral Health Services transport a person to Friday Harbor to seek medical assistance. An incident report was authored.
22-000150 Citizen Assist 13:40:30 01/07/22
A San Juan Deputy responded to a walk-in report of a citizen assist. A report was made.
22-000155 Welfare Check 16:36:20 01/07/22
A Lopez citizen went missing. Deputies launched a search with Lopez Fire and EMS, and the citizen was located. The citizen was having health issues and was stranded on a beach in very cold weather. EMS provided medical support and a Deputy transported the citizen to a friend’s house to warm up.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a 911 hang up call. A subject was located and arrested for DUI.

A San Juan Deputy was advised of a violation of a court order. The incident was investigated and the case was forwarded to the prosecutor.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of an unwanted person at a residence. The incident was documented.

A Deputy on Orcas Island took a fraud regarding some unauthorized bank charges.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a Lost Property call near the ferry landing. A report was taken.

Lopez Deputies responded to a report concerning an underaged sibling using their older sibling’s bong. The Deputies investigated and completed a report. The case will be referred to Juvenile Services.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a possible DUI call. The Deputy was unable to locate the suspected vehicle.
22-000258 Threats 21:56:48 01/11/22
A Lopez Deputy responded to a threats call. A Lopez citizen sent another Lopez citizen threatening text messages. The investigation is ongoing.
