A Deputy responded to a walk-in delayed report of a hit and run that occurred in a private parking lot. The reporting party had no suspect or witness information and needed a report for insurance purposes. Report made.

An Orcas Deputy was dispatched to a harassment call near Eastsound. After the investigation was completed there were no criminal actions found. The reporting party was informed on what actions they could take on their own.

A Deputy was dispatched to a report of a runaway juvenile in Friday Harbor. The juvenile was located and taken in custody on an out of County Warrant.

A Deputy responded to the Lopez Island Village for a welfare check. It was determined a juvenile was threatening to commit suicide. The subject was transported to a hospital for further evaluation. A report was completed.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of vandalism. The damage was photographed and a report was taken.

A runaway dog was turned over to a Lopez Deputy. The Lopez Animal Protection Society was able to locate the dogs caretaker, and the two were reunited.

A Lopez Deputy responded to hunting violation. A report was completed and Washington Department of Wildlife was notified.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of theft. Investigation revealed no theft occurred; parties were removing their own property.

An Orcas Deputy was dispatched to a theft call in Eastsound. The case is still ongoing. No suspects at this time.

An Orcas Deputy was dispatched to a welfare check near Eastsound. After making contact with the person it was found they had a warrant from out of the county. They were arrested and transported to Friday Harbor.

An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to a harassment call. A report was taken.

An Orcas Deputy responded to a report of suspicious person passed out in a vehicle in front of a local business. Contact was made and a report was taken.

San Juan Deputies were dispatched to a complaint of Assault. Investigation revealed that a male committed several felonies. He fled from Deputies but was later arrested and booked into jail.

A Lopez Island Deputy contacted a vehicle owner about a parking problem in the village.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called to collect an unfamiliar puppy trying to follow people into a local business. The owner was identified and claimed the dog.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called about a dog running at large at a local park. The dog owner was called to go retrieve his dog.

A Deputy stopped a vehicle for a defective brake light. The driver was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and arrested. The vehicle was impounded and a search warrant was executed.

A San Juan Deputy was contacted by an inmate in the jail. The inmate attempted to bribe the Deputy to destroy evidence and release them. The Deputy charged the inmate with bribery.

Deputies responded to a report of a wanted person in Friday Harbor. The wanted person was located, arrested, booked, posted bail, and released. Report made.

A Lopez Island man brought a dog found running at large along Center Rd to the Sheriff’s Office. The owner was quickly identified with the assistance of the Lopez Animal Protection Society and reunited with its owner. No enforcement action was necessary.

A Deputy on San Juan received a report of a dispute between roommates. A report was taken as the incident was a civil issue.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Runaway Juvenile in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting Deputy was able to locate the juvenile. Report taken.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Burglary in the San Juan Island area. The reporting Deputy arrived and contacted the involved people. Report taken.
19-000927 Boating Problem 11:10:45 02/04/19
A Lopez Island resident reported a vessel trespassing on a private mooring buoy in Fisherman Bay. The boat owner was contacted, and said he tied up to the buoy hoping to ride out the forecast storm. The parties were put in contact with each other to resolve the matter.

A Deputy responded to a reported hit and run collision. The reporting party discovered damage to her vehicle approximately one week before and wished to document the incident.

Deputies responded to a single vehicle collision in Friday Harbor. After further investigation the driver was found to be impaired. The driver was taken into custody for DUI.

Deputies responded to a complaint of a domestic violence no-contact order violation. After talking to the victim, it was determined probable cause existed to believe the victim’s ex-girlfriend was in violation of that order.
