A Deputy on Orcas responded to a possible domestic in Eastsound. The incident happened the night before. Both parties were separated last night and only one involved person was able to be reached after it was reported. A report was taken.

A Deputy responded to a report of a found bicycle in Friday Harbor. An owner was unable to be located and the bicycle was entered into the SJCSO Property Room per policy. Report made.

A San Juan Deputy took a report of Fraud. The purchase appeared to have been made overseas and no suspect information was available. The incident was documented.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a runaway juvenile. The Deputy and parent checked at multiple potential residences but the juvenile was not located. The incident was documented.

An Orcas Island Deputy authored an incident report reference possible fraudulent phone calls received by a community member.

A Deputy responded to an Agency Assist call in Friday Harbor. The Deputy spoke with the reporting agency and the people involved, no evidence of a crime was found, and a report was completed.

An Orcas Deputy booked found unclaimed property at the Orcas substation.
22-000658 Assault – Body Force 17:29:46 01/28/22
Lopez Deputies responded to an assault call. Two juveniles got into a physical altercation when one juvenile refused to give a Dr. Pepper soda can to the other. Probable cause for Assault 4th Degree will be forwarded to the Prosecutors Office.

San Juan Deputies were called to a report of a Domestic incident. Investigation revealed probable cause to arrest an involved person for Assault 4-DV and Unlawful Imprisonment-DV.

A Deputy had an item turned in as Found Property. The owner of the item was contacted but was already off island. The item was entered into Evidence until the owner can make arrangements for its return.

A Deputy on Orcas Island picked up a stray dog. The owner could not be contacted. The dog was booked into the animal shelter.
MONDAY, JANUARY 31
22-000695 Accident-Injury, Traffic 06:55:05 01/31/22
A Deputy responded to a report of a two vehicle collision on San Juan Island. There were no injuries reported, a collision report was completed, and one person was issued infractions for operating a vehicle without insurance & speed too fast for conditions. Report made.

A Deputy was contacted in reference to Threats. The person had received numerous text messages from a person about another person. The person was requesting an information report be taken in case there are further issues.

A Deputy was contacted in reference to Found Property in the San Juan Island area. The person was turning a box of items he located while driving into town. The items were placed into evidence as found property.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a possible harassment call near Eastsound. Deputies are waiting for the reporting party to send evidence and statement to proceed with an investigation.

A Deputy responded to a Juvenile Problem. The person had located a small child running down the road. The child’s mother was located and the child returned. Report taken.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called to investigate an unattended death occurring in a home. The death appeared to be from natural causes. A report was completed.

22-000727 Unwanted Person 10:57:37 02/01/22
Deputies on Orcas responded to an unwanted person at the medical center. The person in crisis was transported to Peace Island Medical center for an evaluation.
22-000737 Controlled Substance Problem 16:22:25 02/01/22
A Lopez Deputy responded to a drugs call. A parent reported suspicion of several local adults selling marijuana and tobacco to their juvenile child. The investigation is ongoing.
