A Deputy responded to a report of a vandalism in Friday Harbor. Upon investigation it was found that there was no suspect information, no witnesses, no video of the incident, and no workable leads to investigate. Report made for complainant to give to insurance company.

A report was taken regarding trespassing on Shaw Island.

A Deputy responded to a residence on Aleck Bay Road on 1/20/21 after a vehicle described as a white early 2000s four door pick-up damaged the reporting person’s front yard by doing several donuts. A report was completed.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a citizen dispute in the Olga area. After an investigation was completed it was found that no crime had been committed and it was civil in nature.
21-000631 Accident-Injury, Traffic 07:57:32 01/21/21
Orcas Deputies learned of a vehicle off the roadway in Moran State Park. An investigation was conducted. The driver was not injured. A report was written.

A citizen contacted a Deputy at Orcas Substation and requested that person be trespassed from coming to her residence.
21-000636 Citizen Dispute 11:05:46 01/21/21
A Deputy on Orcas responded to a citizen dispute near Eastsound. After the investigation was completed Probable Cause and a report were completed to be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.

A San Juan Deputy took a report of a bank fraud. The case and investigation are ongoing.

A Deputy on Orcas Island investigated a threats complaint. It was determined that no crime had been committed.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a mental subject. The subject was taken into protective custody and was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

A Lopez Deputy was contacted for advice regarding an unsightly residence with likely county code violations. Civil remedies including contact with the county code enforcement office were suggested.

A Lopez business requested a report documenting recent contact with a well-known local disgruntled person.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a domestic dispute. Upon investigation, it was determined to be a verbal dispute and no crime had been committed.

An Eastsound women was trespassed from a local business. A report was taken.

A Lopez Island Deputy completed paperwork to dispose of found items which were never claimed and were found to have little or no monetary value. The items will be disposed of as appropriate.

An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to an unconscious call. A report was filed.
MONDAY, JANUARY 25
21-000729 Mental Health 10:13:53 01/25/21
A Deputy responded to a report of a mental call in Friday Harbor involving a male yelling about having a gun and threatening to kill people. The Deputy located the suspect and after investigation the suspect was arrested for harassment and booked into jail awaiting a next day hearing. Report made.
21-000741 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 16:52:13 01/25/21
I was on duty as a Deputy with the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office. I was in uniform and driving my marked patrol car. I was assigned to a suspicious person call. The call notes stated that the RP observed a man and woman smoking.

An Orcas Deputy issued a notice of infraction for abandoning a vehicle at a local towing establishment.
21-000755 Communications Problem 13:25:04 01/26/21
A Deputy was dispatched to a Communication problem in the Friday Harbor area. The people involved in the incident were contacted. Someone had taken over their computer and were demanding money. There was no loss incurred and those involved were provided with information to move forward.

A Deputy was contacted in reference to an Animal Sick call in the Friday Harbor area. The person stated their dog had been given drugs without their knowledge. The dog is ok and there is no suspect at this time. Information report taken.
