A Lopez Island Deputy took a report of a subject trespassing on private property. The subject had left prior to the Deputy’s arrival.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a vandalism complaint. The Deputy took a report and initiated an investigation.

A Lopez Island resident turned in a folding knife found on the street in Lopez village. The knife was booked as found property pending claim by its owner.

An Orcas Island Deputy investigated a violation of a court order. A report was authored and sent to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for review.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a welfare check call. A Lopez juvenile was engaged in a physical altercation with an older sibling. A report was taken and probable cause for assault was generated.

A San Juan Deputy stopped a driver for driving left of center. The driver was arrested for DUI, harassment, possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession by prisoner and malicious mischief 3. The same suspect was also arrested less than two weeks prior for similar charges.

Orcas Island Deputies investigated a disturbance on the 300 block of North Beach Rd. It was determined no crime was committed and an incident report was authored.

Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a report of an in-progress nonresidential burglary. Upon arrival Deputies learned that there was no burglary, it was a miscommunication. No crime had been committed.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a domestic violence incident. The suspect fled before Deputy arrival and contacted the reporting party who was uncooperative. Report was forwarded to the PA’s Office for possible conditions violation.

A Lopez Deputy was called for a vehicle off the roadway. An informational report was completed.

A San Juan Deputy responded to an agency assist request by CPS. The child appeared safe, happy, and well cared for. Information was obtained and is being investigated.

A San Juan Deputy was dispatched to a report of Hit and Run with property damage. The vehicle was known to law enforcement; it was identified by a witness and bore damage consistent with the collision. The driver was charged with Hit and Run – Unattended Property.

A Deputy was contacted at the Sheriff’s Office in reference to Found Property. A person was turning in an item they had found. The item was entered into evidence as Found Property. Report taken.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called about a confrontation between neighbors. The incident involved a subject calling the reporting party names and making veiled threats. An information report was taken.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a report of a theft. A report was taken. There is no suspect information at this time.

Lopez Deputies mediated a dispute between family members.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of theft in Friday Harbor. The victim did not want the Deputy to contact the suspect and the incident was documented.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called about and on-going issue with a dog running at large.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Criminal Trespassing in the Friday Harbor area. The report arrived and arrested one person for Criminal Trespassing. The person cited and released. Report taken.

Deputies on Orcas responded to a report of a vehicle theft. A report was taken. There is no suspect information at this time.
22-000389 Recovered Stolen Property 19:53:41 01/16/22
Deputies on Orcas Island spotted an unoccupied vehicle while on patrol that looked similar to a vehicle that had been stolen earlier in the day. Upon further investigation, it was confirmed to be the stolen vehicle. The owner was contacted and they retrieved their vehicle. There is no suspect information

A Lopez Island Deputy was called to check on a vacant house after neighbors noticed the garage door open. Nothing appeared amiss inside, and the house was secured. The neighbors had been in contact with the owner.
