22-000897 Citizen Dispute 11:06:47 02/09/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island was dispatched to a citizen dispute. A report was completed.

22-000898 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 11:27:21 02/09/22
A Lopez Island Deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle- a large U Haul truck parked at the Lopez Hill Preserve trailhead. Nothing was found to be amiss once the people returned, although they mentioned access was a bit challenging in the large truck.

22-000903 Theft 13:54:17 02/09/22
An Orcas Island Deputy investigated a theft on the 600 block of Markovs Ln. A report was authored, and the investigation is ongoing.

22-000911 Assault – Body Force 15:47:58 02/09/22
Orcas Island Deputies responded to an assault which occurred at the Island Primary Care Clinic 7 Deye Ln. A subject who assaulted an employee of the clinic and a Deputy was arrested and booked in jail for Assault in the 3rd Degree.

22-000912 Runaway Juvenile 16:02:31 02/09/22
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a runaway juvenile. The Deputy checked with multiple residences in an attempt to locate the juvenile and the incident was documented.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 10
22-000925 Child Abuse or Neglect 10:46:35 02/10/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of possible child abuse. A witness was interviewed and due to the child and suspect living out of the county, CPS was notified.

22-000931 Information Report 13:37:51 02/10/22
An Orcas Island Deputy took an information report about items being moved inside a residence on the 200 block of Nina Ln. It was determined no crime had been committed.

22-000934 Runaway Juvenile 15:44:54 02/10/22
A San Juan Deputy took a report of a Runaway Juvenile. The person Was placed into the Missing Persons Database. The Deputy received information regarding the person’s whereabouts and took them home.

22-000942 Accident-NonInj 20:26:32 02/10/22
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a collision involving a single vehicle into a tree. The driver was transported to the hospital and arrested for driving under the influence. Multiple infractions were issued.

22-000949 Litter/Pollution/Public Health 12:38:14 02/11/22
An Orcas Deputy issued a notice of infraction for abandoning a vehicle at a local towing establishment.

22-000953 Information Report 14:27:02 02/11/22
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to Island Primary Care for a subject who was assaulted. The victim refused any law enforcement assistance. An incident report was authored.

22-000954 Agency Assistance 14:30:08 02/11/22
A Deputy on Orcas responded to an agency assist at the public high school. A report was taken.

22-000956 Agency Assistance 15:49:54 02/11/22
A San Juan Deputy was dispatched to an APS agency assist regarding claims of financial abuse. The person was found to be okay and advised that the claims were baseless.

22-000968 Court Order Violation 22:48:23 02/11/22
A Lopez Island Deputy located an individual consuming alcohol at a bar who was in violation of a court order that restricted them from being at bars and or consuming alcohol and marijuana. The case was forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 12
22-000972 Unwanted Person 08:48:23 02/12/22
An Orcas business experienced two incidents involving a mentally ill man causing a disruption and alarm by the customers and employees. The man left the area.

22-000974 Fraud 10:18:38 02/12/22
An Orcas Deputy took a report of fraud involving a cell phone plan. An investigation is being conducted. A report was written.

22-000975 Attempted Suicide 10:53:20 02/12/22
A Deputy responded to the jail for a suicide attempt. The inmate was moved to the safety cell.

22-000976 Assault – Body Force 10:55:51 02/12/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of an alleged assault. Statements from the involved parties revealed there was no probable cause that a crime was committed. A report was completed.

22-000977 Accident-Injury, Traffic 13:33:18 02/12/22
A Lopez Island Deputy, along with fire and EMS responded to a two car injury collision on Mud Bay Rd at Aleck Bay Rd. No one was seriously hurt. One driver was ticketed for passing in a no passing zone, the other driver was ticketed for an intermediate license violation.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a citizen dispute on the side of the road. One of the parties was contacted and an informational report was completed.

22-000981 Found Property 14:09:04 02/12/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of found property in Friday Harbor. The property was collected and returned to San Juan Island fitness in hopes of it being reunited with its owner.

22-000992 Child Abuse or Neglect 20:11:23 02/12/22
A San Juan Deputy was advised of a possible incident of child abuse. An initial investigation was conducted, and the child was housed in a safe location until additional follow-up could be completed. This case is ongoing.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 13
22-000997 Unwanted Person 00:34:58 02/13/22
A Lopez Deputy responded to a call concerning three intruders attempting to break into a house. Upon investigation, there were no unwanted persons on the scene. The reporting party was an elderly, near-blind Lopez citizen. A report was taken.

22-001001 Accident-HitRun 11:57:46 02/13/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a hit and run near Roche Harbor. No people were injured, but there was vehicle damage. There is no suspect information or workable leads at this time. A report was
completed.

An Orcas Island Deputy took an incident report reference a civil dispute between a couple over child custody issues. No crime was committed.

22-001013 Animal at Large 14:42:24 02/13/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a dog at large. The dog was returned to it’s owner who was subsequently issued an infraction for dog at large first offense.

22-001014 Unwanted Person 15:27:50 02/13/22
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a report of two subjects acting suspiciously. A juvenile subject was found to be in possession of alcohol and tobacco.

22-001019 Civil Problem 21:24:59 02/13/22
A San Juan Deputy responded to a civil call. Investigation revealed that the incident was a domestic situation. Statements made by the involved parties led the Deputy to believe that no crime occurred. The incident was documented.

A Deputy on Orcas Island took a report involving the theft of mail. The investigation is on-going.

22-001026 Welfare Check 19:34:17 02/14/22
Orcas Island Deputies responded to a welfare check in the Eastsound area. An informational report was taken.

22-001029 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 21:43:24 02/14/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island contacted a citizen about concerning text messages they were receiving. A report was completed.

22-001032 Area Check 23:00:52 02/14/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to an area check in Friday Harbor regarding a report of a homeless person hanging around the callers residence. The Deputy checked the area and the was unable to locate the person.

22-001034 Assault – Body Force 07:04:16 02/15/22
Deputies on Orcas responded to an assault near Orcas Rd. The suspect was arrested and taken to jail.

22-001039 Trespassing 12:42:44 02/15/22
A Deputy on Orcas responded to a trespassing call in Eastsound. A person was given a Trespass Warning Letter for a local business and was informed if they went back they would be arrested for trespassing.

22-001043 Fraud 13:37:59 02/15/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of credit card fraud. The victim did not want to pursue criminal charges. A report was completed.

22-001046 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 16:48:06 02/15/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island contacted a citizen; they had been notified that a package was delivered but the package was nowhere to be found. There are no suspects or workable leads currently. A report was completed.
