A Friday Harbor Deputy responded to a delayed report of a suspected Theft on San Juan Island. The Deputy gathered the information from the caller and an informational report was made. There was no evidence and no workable leads to warrant further investigation.
18-001059 Welfare Check 10:46:56 02/14/18
A Friday Harbor Deputy responded to a Welfare Check on an individual with suspected mental illness in need of medical care. The individual transported by ambulance to the hospital for evaluation.

A Friday Harbor Deputy responded to a delayed report from San Juan County Public Works of a theft of several county street signs on San Juan Island. There was no evidence or witnesses and the caller requested an information report be made. The information was gathered and a was report made.

A Friday Harbor Deputy responded to a call of drug paraphernalia found at the high school. The Deputy gathered the evidence and information and completed a report. Investigation ongoing.

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of atraffic collision. The Deputy observed that there was one vehicle involved inthe collision and wrote the driver an infraction for the collision.

Deputies responded to a residence on San Juan Island to investigate a trespasser. The suspect was taken into custody.

A Deputy made contact with a driver in Eastsound. The driver was known to have a warrant for his arrest. It was learned that the driver had a suspended driver’s license. The suspect was arrested, booked into jail and cited with a criminal cite for driving with a suspended license.
18-001080 Theft 12:20:44 02/15/18
A Deputy took a theft report from an Eastsound resident. It is believed that person(s) unknown had stolen a fixed blade knife from the reporting parties’ vehicle. The case is under further investigation.
18-001088 Accident-HitRun 16:44:59 02/15/18
A citizen reported her vehicle was damaged while it was parked at a residence on San Juan Island.
Investigation continues.
18-001089 Accident-Injury, Traffic 19:56:44 02/15/18
Lopez Island Deputies responded to the 1400 block of Ferry Road for a vehicle accident. The driver, who showed no signs of impairment, claimed he struck a tree when he swerved his car to avoid striking a deer. The driver was airlifted to the mainland for medical treatment. A report was completed.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Juvenile Problem in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting Deputy contacted the caller and some of the involved persons. An informational report was taken.

A Deputy was contacted at the Sheriff’s Office in reference to a Fraud in the Friday Harbor area. The person reported credit card charges that did not belong. A report was taken.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Dog At Large in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy contacted the caller. The caller advised a dog is continually in their trash. Dog was gone on the arrival of the Deputy.

A Deputy responded to a report of a hit & run traffic collision that occurred in Eastsound. An investigation was conducted and a report written.

A WSF crew reported drug activity occurring in a vehicle disembarking on Lopez Island. A Deputy stopped the vehicle and obtained consent to search. No illegal drugs were found, and the occupants did not appear to be under the influence. A report was taken.
18-001138 Animal Bite 16:57:55 02/17/18
A Deputy on Orcas responded to a call of a dog bite. An unknown dog attacked another causing some puncture wounds. This case is under investigation.

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a welfare check. The Deputy observed that there had been a domestic between the two people involved. This report is for information only.

An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched with OIFR to a single vehicle rollover accident on Olga Road. The vehicle was unoccupied when responding units arrived. It was discovered the vehicle was stolen. Witnesses and evidence collected on scene gave a solid lead to investigators.

A Friday Harbor Deputy responded to a report of a domestic incident on San Juan Island. The suspect was arrested for Assault DV, Assault on a Police Officer, and Attempted Disarming of a Police Officer. The suspect was booked into the jail awaiting court appearance.
