A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to Property Damage. The incident was investigated and documented.
25-000835 Property Damage, Non Vandalism 16:10:42 02/12/25
An Orcas Island Deputy investigated property damage near the West Beach area, alongside, Enchanted Forest Rd. It appeared that a vehicle drove off Enchanted Forest Rd and damaged a resident’s telephone pedestal. The incident was documented, and photographs were taken.
25-000840 Trespassing 19:09:43 02/12/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a trespassing call at a business in the Eastsound area. The suspect had already left the business by the time the Deputy arrived. The business owner filed a trespass notice with the Sheriff’s Office. The trespass notice will be served.
25-000842 Controlled Substance Problem 20:22:17 02/12/25
An individual walked into the Sheriff’s Office lobby to turn in found drugs. Deputies gathered drugs and processed them into evidence.
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13
25-000848 Theft 10:43:22 02/13/25
A Deputy was contacted about a Theft in the Friday Harbor area. The person reported a bike had been removed from where they left it. Report taken.
25-000852 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 14:38:02 02/13/25
A San Juan Deputy received a complaint of a suspicious person. Investigation revealed no law had been broken. The complainant was referred to the court to request an anti-harassment order.
25-000855 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 15:39:00 02/13/25
San Juan County Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious person. Person was found and believed to have sold cannabis products to juveniles. Probable Cause statement was written and forwarded to Prosecutor’s Office.
25-000860 Civil Problem 20:37:36 02/13/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a civil dispute about ownership of a dog. The Deputy explained to the concerned party that he would need to go through the courts to dispute this concern. Subsequently the concerned party was a wanted fugitive and was arrested.
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 14
25-000870 Death Investigation 12:49:32 02/14/25
Orcas Island Deputies responded to a death investigation. The investigation revealed no suspicious activity.
25-000871 Attempted Suicide 13:14:12 02/14/25
The Sheriff’s Office responded to a suicide attempt on Orcas Island. The patient was transported by EMS and the incident was documented.
25-000882 Animal at Large 18:58:58 02/14/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an animal at large call in the Buckhorn area. A citizen found 2 dogs without license tags and the citizen posted photos of the dogs onto social media. The dog owners were found, and the dogs were returned. The owners were referred to the county code as a warning.

Lopez Deputies responded to a reported domestic incident. An individual was arrested for Assault 4 DV and Resisting Arrest.

25-000888 Domestic Dispute or Assault 00:05:46 02/15/25
San Juan County Deputies responded to a report of an active domestic. Domestic was verbal in nature and parties were separated.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 16
25-000902 Unwanted Person 01:59:05 02/16/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an unwanted person in the Dolphin area. It was later discovered that there was a miscommunication however, the unwanted person will be trespassed from the property. The incident was documented.
25-000908 Trespassing 17:24:11 02/16/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a trespassing complaint. The trespasser was gone on arrival and was not identified.
25-000909 Domestic Dispute or Assault 18:52:17 02/16/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report from a citizen that they were having an issue with some people and wanted to let the Sheriff’s Office know about it. This report is for information only.
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 18
25-000937 Agency Assistance 09:53:57 02/18/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a call of threats being made via email. An investigation was conducted, and it was determined the suspect was in Idaho making threats in violation of Washington State Law. The investigation was forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for a charging decision.
25-000945 Theft 15:45:33 02/18/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a theft. The victim did not want to pursue criminal charges for the theft but wanted the suspect trespassed. The suspect was given a trespass warning letter.
25-000948 DUI 19:28:27 02/18/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island arrested a driver for DUI. The person was processed for the DUI and was booked into the jail.
