Lopez Island Deputies were dispatched to a Welfare Check. An individual was transported to PIMC for further evaluation. The incident was documented.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a 911 hang up call from the post office. Upon investigation, there was no emergent situation.

26-000847 Found Property 14:44:16 02/11/26
A San Juan Island Deputy received found property from a member of the public. The debit card was booked into evidence.

26-000848 Accident-HitRun 15:21:40 02/11/26
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a hit-and-run complaint. The vehicle reportedly sustained damage while parked on private property. The offending vehicle was not identified.

26-000849 Found Property 15:46:40 02/11/26
A San Juan Island Deputy received found property turned in by a member of the public. The debit card (the second of the day) was placed into evidence.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 12
26-000866 Trespassing 15:44:58 02/12/26
A Lopez Deputy responded to a report of an unhoused individual experiencing mental distress harassing children at a County Park. The incident occurred half a year prior to when it was reported. The suspected individual will be served a trespass warning letter.

26-000874 Controlled Substance Problem 21:06:31 02/12/26
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of drugs. A small container with suspected methamphetamine residue was located in the roadway and appeared to have fallen from a vehicle. The container was entered into evidence for destruction.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13
26-000881 Welfare Check 09:25:48 02/13/26
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a welfare check in the Eastsound area. The Deputy learned that a citizen was concerned about his mother’s location and welfare. The Deputy contacted the mother and learned that she was safe. The incident was documented.

26-000891 Accident-NonInj 15:44:02 02/13/26
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an accident in downtown Eastsound. The Deputy learned that a citizen hit a pedestrian crosswalk sign with their truck. The Deputy notified public works to replace the sign. The driver’s vehicle was not damaged, and the incident was documented.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a report of fraud. The reporting party was contacted, and the investigation is still ongoing.

26-000905 Mental Health 22:58:55 02/13/26
A Lopez Deputy responded to a mental call. An APS referral was generated.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14
26-000907 Citizen Assist 10:59:36 02/14/26
A Lopez Island Deputy was contacted for a Citizen Assist. The incident was documented.

26-000910 Kidnapping 15:06:52 02/14/26
A San Juan Deputy took a report of custodial interference. Probable Cause appears to exist to charge the suspect with a crime at this time. An alert was sent to affected Law Enforcement Agencies to attempt to locate the parties.

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 16
26-000947 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 15:45:05 02/16/26
A San Juan Island Deputy took a report of suspicious activity at a local residence. One person reportedly was looking at the resident through a window and another person walked onto the private property. A report was written. Deputies will conduct intermittent drive-by checks at the property.

26-000954 Accident-NonInj 17:03:39 02/16/26
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a minor fender bender in the Deer Harbor area. The Deputy learned that both parties involved conducted an exchange of information and were requesting a police report number for their insurance company. The incident was documented.

26-000961 Welfare Check 21:31:09 02/16/26
The Sheriff’s Office conducted a welfare check that turned into a death investigation. The scene was investigated and the deceased was turned over to the Coroner’s Office.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 17
26-000966 Trespassing 10:11:00 02/17/26
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a trespassing incident in the Eastsound area. The Deputy learned that this incident may have been related to an ongoing civil matter. The incident was documented.

26-000980 Animal at Large 15:32:47 02/17/26
A San Juan County Deputy responded to a dog at large call. The owner of the dog was issued a 3rd offense infraction for dog at large.
