20-010378 Trespassing 19:30:19 12/08/20
A Lopez Island Deputy was called regarding a trespass issue at a residence. All parties involved were interviewed, and the trespasser departed without further incident. An information report was taken.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 9
20-010398 Animal at Large 14:39:34 12/09/20
A Lopez Island Deputy was called about a nuisance dog that had gotten after some chickens, injuring 2 of them. The dog was located, its owner identified and contacted. Further follow up will be conducted.

20-010407 Accident-Injury, Traffic 17:47:25 12/09/20
A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a single vehicle collision on Davis Bay Road. The sole occupant of the vehicle was flown off island by EMS for further medical evaluation. The driver was believed to have been driving under the influence of alcohol. The case was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of an assault. The investigation is ongoing.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10
20-010433 Theft 12:41:59 12/10/20
A Deputy on Orcas responded to a possible theft of medication in Eastsound. A report was taken

20-010435 Fraud 13:21:24 12/10/20
An Orcas Deputy responded to a report of fraud in the Eastsound area. The investigation is ongoing. A report was completed.

20-010436 Unwanted Person 13:30:05 12/10/20
A Lopez Deputy was called regarding unwanted persons at a local business. The off-island workers were contacted and told not to return to the business.

20-010438 Found Property 13:51:35 12/10/20
A Deputy responded to a walk-in report of a cell phone. An owner was not able to be located and the property was submitted into the SJC evidence & property room. Report made.

20-010441 Domestic Dispute or Assault 14:54:23 12/10/20
A Deputy on Orcas responded to a domestic near Map Corner. A report was taken and will be forwarded to juvenile services.

20-010442 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 16:28:36 12/10/20
A Deputy responded to a suspicious circumstance call on San Juan Island. The male involved was seen by the Deputy driving away from the area and stopped on a traffic stop. The male was given a trespass warning and issued an infraction for no insurance. Report made.

20-010444 Accident-Injury, Traffic 17:08:06 12/10/20
A truck drove off the road and collided with a tree on Dolphin Bay Road. The driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs.

20-010447 Accident-Injury, Traffic 19:12:01 12/10/20
San Juan Deputies responded to a single vehicle collision into multiple trees. The driver was located near the collision scene and was transported to the hospital for treatment before being arrested for DUI and reckless endangerment.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11
20-010461 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 15:01:50 12/11/20
San Juan Deputies responded to a report that possible explosives were located abandoned. The item was collected and turned over to the WSP bomb squad. Report made.

20-010463 Vicious Animal 16:17:41 12/11/20
A Deputy on Orcas was dispatched to an animal problem near Map Corner. The reporting party stated that possibly a dog or similar type animal had killed some of their livestock. The case is ongoing.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12
20-010475 Trespassing 00:47:20 12/12/20
Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a call for trespassing that ended up being a civil landlord/tenant dispute. They provided a courtesy transport for the tenant.

20-010486 Theft 12:39:05 12/12/20
A Lopez Island resident reported the theft of a pair of mounted tires/wheels from his property.

20-010488 Death Investigation 13:37:54 12/12/20
A Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to an unattended death in Eastsound. The death was determined to be from natural causes. A report was filed.

20-010489 Death Investigation 14:47:01 12/12/20
Lopez Island Deputies were called when a dead body apparently washed up on a secluded beach. An investigation into the cause and circumstances of the person’s death is underway.

A Deputy on Orcas responded to a possible theft of medication in Eastsound. A report was taken.
20-010492 Malicious Mischief 15:32:42 12/12/20
An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to a malicious mischief call in the Eastsound area. A report was taken.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 13
20-010525 Trespassing 10:48:46 12/13/20
A Lopez Island Deputy took a trespass complaint from a resident after an unwanted subject showed up at their residence. A report was taken and the subject was served with a trespass warning letter.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 14
20-010555 Animal Bite 10:17:47 12/14/20
A Deputy on Orcas responded to an animal bite near Eastsound. After all parties were interviewed and photographs were taken a report was written. The case is still on going.

20-010559 Citizen Dispute 13:56:53 12/14/20
A San Juan Deputy took a report from a woman concerned that her boyfriend’s dog has become more aggressive with her over the past few weeks. There was no crime or injuries to report but the situation was documented.

20-010562 Welfare Check 17:22:49 12/14/20
Two Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a welfare check. The Deputies were unable to locate the person of concern.

20-010567 Accident-NonInj 22:21:25 12/14/20
A Deputy was dispatched to a Single Vehicle Traffic Accident in the San Juan Island area. The vehicle had failed to complete a curve and drove into the ditch. Report taken.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 15
20-010576 Harassment 14:45:36 12/15/20
A Deputy on Orcas responded to a harassment call. After the reporting party was interviewed it was asked that the Deputies serve the suspect with a Trespass Warning Letter as there was nothing criminal to report at the time.

20-010580 Theft 17:50:33 12/15/20
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a theft. Two juveniles were arrested for theft 3rd degree and minor in possession of alcohol. They were released to their parents.
