WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 6
23-009349 Citizen Assist 09:04:47 12/06/23
A Friday Harbor resident called the Sheriff’s Office to report having problems with her granddaughter and going to school. A report was taken and a plan to help rectify the situation.

23-009351 Burglary – Residential 09:35:11 12/06/23
The Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a burglary. There was not evidence a crime was committed and the reporting party was unsure what/if anything was missing.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7
23-009367 Weapon Safekeeping 09:55:26 12/07/23
A Deputy was serving a Civil Process. The Deputy received two firearms for Safekeeping. The items were entered into Evidence. Report taken.

23-009368 Theft 11:05:20 12/07/23
A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to Decatur Island for a theft call. The incident was documented and is likely related to an on-going civil issue regarding a property line dispute.

23-009372 Accident-HitRun 13:36:18 12/07/23
A Lopez Deputy responded when a driver backed into an unoccupied vehicle. The driver did not have insurance and was issued an infraction.

23-009373 Domestic Dispute or Assault 14:37:25 12/07/23
A Deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the Friday Harbor area. Dispatch advised a mother and daughter were involved in the dispute. Deputies arrived and spoke with all involved. Dispute was verbal and a report was taken.

23-009375 Found Property 16:55:37 12/07/23
A Deputy removed a drivers license from an arrested person that did not belong to the arrested person. The subject stated he had just found the license and was going to turn it in as found property. A report was taken.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9
23-009402 Welfare Check 07:33:45 12/09/23
A Deputy on Orcas was dispatched to a welfare check in Eastsound. A report was taken after an investigation was completed.

23-009412 Sick or Injured Animal 14:45:50 12/09/23
A Deputy on Orcas responded to an animal sick call near Eastsound. After an investigation, it was found that there were no viable concerns for the animal or its shelter.

23-009416 Threats 19:11:18 12/09/23
A San Juan Deputy responded to a party for a report of threats. An individual was arrested for assault 3, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. They were booked into jail pending appearance in court.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 10
23-009430 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 22:16:51 12/10/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a suspicious. The Deputy arrived and located a smoldering fireworks that had just been set off and was in the roadway. The Deputy disposed of the spent fireworks. Currently there are no suspects.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 11
23-009455 Civil Problem 15:59:20 12/11/23
A Deputy on Orcas responded to a civil dispute. An investigation is being conducted on possible crimes reported by one of the parties involved.

23-009456 Found Property 20:23:49 12/11/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of found property. Individuals out on a walk discovered a BB gun on the ground. The BB gun was submitted into evidence as found property. A report was completed.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 12
23-009459 Death Investigation 03:58:41 12/12/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a death investigation. After an investigation, it was determined that the individual passed away from natural causes and the death was expected. A report was completed.

23-009463 Accident-HitRun 16:05:02 12/12/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a hit and run of a vehicle in a parking lot. The owner of the vehicle that was struck did not wish to pursue the matter criminally. A report was completed.

23-009465 Theft 17:14:34 12/12/23
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of theft onboard a ferry. After speaking with the involved parties, it was determined that a theft did not occur. A report was completed.

23-009467 Malicious Mischief 21:07:01 12/12/23
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of vandalism. A nativity scene was vandalized with a strange doll covered in what appeared to be fake blood. At this time there is no suspect information or workable leads. A report was completed.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 13
23-009473 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 01:51:25 12/13/23
Deputies on San Juan responded a report of a possible in-progress burglary. The Deputies located the suspect, who was taken into custody for Burglary in the first degree, arson in the first degree, malicious mischief in the first degree. Probable cause was forwarded to the prosecutors office.
