A Deputy responded to a report of a Death in Friday Harbor. The Coroner responded to the scene with the Deputy and it was determined that the person involved died of natural causes. Report made and forwarded to Coroner’s Office.

An Orcas Deputy responded to a fraud call in Eastsound. The reporting party contacted their bank and the bank is handling the investigation. A report was taken.

An Orcas Deputy was dispatched to vandalism of the Sheriff’s Office radar trailer in the 2300 block of Deer Harbor Road. Video surveillance footage is being reviewed to identify a suspect.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of trespassing. The suspect was located and attempted to fight the Deputies. The subject was arrested for trespassing 2nd degree, order violation, assault 3rd degree, malicious mischief 3rd degree and resisting arrest.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of an assault. The investigation is ongoing.

A Deputy on Orcas Island talked to a complainant regarding a theft complaint. The complainant had paid for a service that had not been carried out. The complainant was advised, because the complainant entered into a business agreement with the other party, the case was a civil issue.

A Deputy responded to a report of an unattended death. The death appeared to be natural. An investigation and report were conducted.

A Deputy on San Juan took a report of a runaway juvenile. A juvenile pickup order was signed.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a report of a possible DUI driver. The driver was subsequently arrested on suspicion of Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs.

A San Juan Deputy was dispatched to a Welfare Check and they were later transported to the medical center for evaluation.

A San Juan Deputy was dispatched to a report of a Domestic dispute. The parties were separated and a trespass letter was issued.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called to check on an unsecured home after a caretaker discovered the front door standing wide open. The Deputy checked the interior and found nothing appearing amiss, and no sign of forced entry. Recent winds may be the culprit.

A Deputy was contacted at the Sheriff’s Office in reference to a Residential Burglary. The caller advised his residence had been entered and items taken. Report taken.

A Deputy on Orcas Island took a report of a person having received threats from a co-worker. It was determined there was insufficient probable cause to believe a crime had been committed.

A Deputy on Orcas Island discovered a broken water pipe under the road surface. The Deputy stood by until Public Works arrived.
