A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a Fraud call. The incident was documented.

24-008043 Unconscious ALS 15:27:34 12/18/24
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of a vehicle accident where the driver was reported as unconscious. The driver woke up, and was subsequently arrested for DUI. The driver was issued infractions for driving left of center and wheels off roadway. A report was completed.

24-008045 DUI 17:58:30 12/18/24
A Lopez Island Deputy was contacted regarding a possible DUI. An investigation was conducted, and an individual was later booked into the county holding facility for DUI. The incident was documented.

Lopez Deputies responded to a domestic dispute. Upon investigation, an arrest was made for Assault 4th degree.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 19

A Lopez Island Deputy observed a private helicopter land in the village. Operators and a local business were contacted. The safety of others was addressed when landing and the incident was documented then forwarded to the FAA for their review.

Orcas Island Deputies responded to a mental health crisis. Deputies helped transport the individual suffering from a mental health crisis to the ER on San Juan.

Lopez Deputies responded to a domestic dispute. An arrest was made for assault 4th degree.

Orcas Island Deputies responded to a death investigation. The investigation revealed no suspicious activity.

An Orcas Island Deputy assisted Washington State Department of Children, Youth & Family Services investigate an allegation of inappropriate touching of a minor. An investigation was conducted. At the time of the investigation no crime appeared to have been committed.

24-008081 Property Damage, Non Vandalism 09:11:13 12/20/24
A Deputy was dispatched to a Malicious Mischief in the San Juan Island area. The Deputy arrived and located a mailbox knocked off its post. The mailbox was undamaged. Report taken.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Agency Assist. The Sheriff’s Office received a referral from another agency. The people involved were contacted. Report taken.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a store in Friday Harbor. A controlling authority of the store wished to have an individual trespassed for one year. The individual was located and served with the trespass warning letter. A report was completed.
