22-008794 Domestic Dispute or Assault 07:52:59 12/14/22
Deputies responded to a report of a Domestic in Friday Harbor. After gathering information from the parties involved, One person was arrested for Assault 4th Degree-Domestic Violence. The arrested person was taken into custody, transported to the jail, and booked into jail without incident.

22-008796 Agency Assistance 09:11:35 12/14/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of possible financial exploitation. A large sum of money was sent to an unknown person in another state. This case is currently being investigated.

An Orcas Deputy collected a firearm for safekeeping. A report was written.

A Deputy on Lopez Island was dispatched to an agency assist with Compass Health. Deputies assisted in transporting a patient for a mental health evaluation.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a fraud call at the Orcas Center at 917 Mt. Baker Rd. An unknown person attempted obtain money fraudulently through emailed tax forms. No loss was incurred by the Orcas Center. A report was taken.

22-008821 Citizen Dispute 20:31:28 12/14/22
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to Alder St. for a citizen dispute. Upon arrival one half of the dispute had already left the area. An investigation was conducted, and it was determined no crime was committed. An incident report was authored.

22-008824 Accident-Injury, Traffic 23:11:52 12/14/22
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a single-vehicle rollover collision. The driver was issued infractions for no valid license with ID, no insurance and driving wheels off roadway. Multiple warnings were also given.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 15
22-008825 Traffic Hazard 06:17:05 12/15/22
A Deputy responded to a traffic hazard call on San Juan Island. Upon arrival it was discovered that the call was actually a one vehicle collision into a boulder that occurred sometime in the overnight hours. There was no driver on scene, and no driver was identified.

22-008832 Accident-HitRun 11:22:44 12/15/22
A Lopez Deputy responded to a hit and run call. A vehicle parked at the school was scraped and sustained damage. A report was generated.

22-008833 Aircraft Problem 11:31:30 12/15/22
A Deputy was dispatched to an Aircraft Accident at the Friday Harbor Airport. The aircraft had a mechanical issue during take off. No one was injured. Report taken.

22-008835 Citizen Dispute 11:49:32 12/15/22
An Orcas Deputy responded to a dispute at a residence in Eastsound. An investigation was conducted and report written. Settled by contact.

22-008836 Malicious Mischief 12:11:44 12/15/22
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a home on Sunset St. for a possible vandalism. A house sitter reported an unknown person or vehicle knocked the call box to the electric gate of the residence. This occurred within the last week and there are no investigative leads.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an Animal Problem at 484 Camp Orkila Rd. A dead sea otter had been placed in the field by an unknown person. There are no investigative leads. A report was taken.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 16
22-008850 Found Property 09:54:24 12/16/22
A bicycle was found on a trail between Orion Lane and A Street in Eastsound. No owner information available. The bicycle was booked into the property room at the Orcas Substation.

22-008858 Mental Health 16:34:58 12/16/22
Lopez Deputies responded to a mental health call. Deputies contacted an individual who was hallucinating. The Deputies connected the individual to a mental health professional.

22-008859 Litter/Pollution/Public Health 16:40:44 12/16/22
An Orcas Deputy issued a notice of infraction for abandoning a vehicle at a local towing establishment.

22-008867 Overdose 23:43:43 12/16/22
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of an overdose. An individual was placed in protective custody and was transported to the emergency room for treatment.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 17
22-008876 Animal at Large 11:44:42 12/17/22
A Lopez Deputy responded to an animal at large call. Two dogs escaped while their owner was preoccupied cutting wood. They were located and returned.

22-008881 Animal Noise 16:40:28 12/17/22
An Orcas Island Deputy took custody of a dog chained to a tree on Alder St. The Deputy was unable to locate the owner at the time of the call. The dog was taken to the Orcas Island Animal Shelter for safe keeping until the owner can be located.

22-008886 Missing Person 20:54:36 12/17/22
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a missing person. Deputies searched the area and were unable to locate the individual or their vehicle. The individual was entered as missing. The investigation is ongoing.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 18
22-008888 Mental Health 07:16:05 12/18/22
A Lopez Deputy responded a report of harassment by costume-wearing persons. The reporting party was determined to be having a delusional episode.

22-008898 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 13:52:52 12/18/22
A Deputy on Lopez Island was dispatched to a report of a suspicious person. The person was found to be having a mental health crisis and was given a courtesy ride to the mainland via patrol boat to help him return to his family.

22-008903 County Property Damage 15:53:43 12/18/22
A tire on a Deputies patrol car was damage when the sidewall inadvertently rubbed a curb and caused a flat. Fleet maintenance changed the tire and back in service without any delay in service.

22-008904 Citizen Assist 16:16:19 12/18/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island spoke with a citizen who wanted to report something that had happened in Friday Harbor a couple days earlier. The individual was recognized to be the reported missing person from the day prior, they said they would contact their family. A report was completed.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a call from a citizen who was requesting help and to go to the hospital. The individual was voluntarily transported to the hospital for mental health help. A report was completed.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 19
22-008910 Trespassing 10:52:45 12/19/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a trespassing call. A local business wanted to rescind a trespass notice. The notice was voided and the incident documented.

22-008929 Welfare Check 20:43:02 12/19/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a welfare check. The Deputy spoke with the individual, and they eventually voluntarily decided that they wanted to go to the hospital for mental health help. The Deputy transported the individual to the hospital for help. A report was completed.

22-008930 Mental Health 20:50:19 12/19/22
Lopez Island Deputies assisted an individual experiencing a mental health crisis. The subject was boated to San Juan Island to be evaluated by a mental health professional.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 20
22-008938 Theft 09:55:35 12/20/22
A Deputy on Orcas took a theft of mail report that happened last week. The reporting party did not have a suspect, but a possible suspect vehicle. A report was taken and the suspect vehicle information was passed along to all Deputies.

22-008959 Malicious Mischief 16:17:16 12/20/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island was dispatched to a report of a vandalism where a truck drive through a field, drove recklessly and caused extensive damage. The case is currently ongoing.
