24-007863 Citizen Dispute 13:36:43 12/11/24
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a citizen dispute. The incident turned out to be non-criminal in nature, with one party requesting the other be trespassed from their place of business.

24-007864 Trespassing 13:40:15 12/11/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a request to trespass a citizen. The citizen was contacted and was giving a trespass warning letter.

24-007867 Animal at Large 16:01:33 12/11/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a dog at large. The owner had previously been issued a dog at large warning letter for their dog urinating on a neighbors package on their front porch. The owner was issued an infraction for dog at large 1st offense. A report was completed.

24-007869 Vicious Animal 17:14:13 12/11/24
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of an animal problem. An owner reported an unleashed dog attacked their dog, causing injury.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 12
24-007873 Court Order Violation 08:54:48 12/12/24
A Deputy was contacted about an Order Violation. The person was reporting that they were receiving texts from a person in violation of a Protection Order. Report taken.

24-007875 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 09:36:03 12/12/24
A Deputy on Orcas responded to a suspicious circumstance at the Orcas ferry terminal. The report was unsubstantiated.

24-007876 Theft 09:50:43 12/12/24
A Deputy was contacted about a Theft. The person had received a delivery with the item missing from the box. The person provided the information on the item. Report taken.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13
24-007896 Assault – Body Force 00:02:56 12/13/24
Orcas Island Deputies responded to a report of assault. Subsequently two individuals were arrested for assault domestic violence.

24-007912 Property Damage, Non Vandalism 12:05:38 12/13/24
The Lopez Village sign was struck by an unknown vehicle during the early morning hours.

24-007916 Theft 14:01:33 12/13/24
A Deputy on Orcas Island took a theft report.

24-007919 Theft 15:01:28 12/13/24
A Lopez resident reported likely theft and civil concerns regarding property distribution from a prior relationship. A civil court order was suggested.

24-007928 Citizen Dispute 19:50:06 12/13/24
A Lopez Deputy responded to a citizen dispute. An elderly individual accidentally gave money to a neighbor when he intended to give the money to his caretaker. The Deputy contacted the neighbor and the neighbor graciously returned the money.

24-007929 Accident-Injury, Traffic 19:53:03 12/13/24
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a collision with injury. The occupants of the vehicle were contacted and received medical aid. The driver appeared to have lost control due to defective tires and wet weather.

24-007930 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 23:23:24 12/13/24
A San Juan Deputy observed someone peering into a building’s windows. The Deputy contacted the individual, who had already been trespassed from the property, and the individual fled on foot. Deputies apprehended the individual and booked them into jail.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14
24-007947 Threats 14:20:32 12/14/24
A Deputy was dispatched to Threats in the Friday Harbor area. The person reported threatening texts between family member. Report taken.

24-007949 Wanted Person 15:41:04 12/14/24
A San Juan Deputy located two individuals with warrants for their arrest. One of the individuals resisted arrest but both were ultimately arrested and booked into jail.

24-007951 Threats 15:54:20 12/14/24
A Deputy on Orcas Island took a threats complaint. The Deputy determined no crime had been committed. The incident was documented at the request of the complainant.

24-007957 Accident-NonInj 18:48:06 12/14/24
A San Juan Deputy was flagged down at a grocery store by someone stating that their car was struck outside. The driver of the offending vehicle was arrested for DUI and an infraction was issued for improper backing.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15
24-007964 Arson 01:58:11 12/15/24
Orcas Island Deputies responded to assist the fire department investigate a fire at a school. It was discovered that a group of juveniles started the fire. The parents of the juveniles were contacted. The Fire Marshal plans to conduct fire education with students at the school.

24-007972 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 13:12:41 12/15/24
A Lopez resident called with concerns regarding the death of a former Lopez resident that occurred in King County. The investigating agency was contacted. No criminal behavior contributed to the persons death.

24-007978 Vicious Animal 15:26:40 12/15/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of an animal problem at a dog park, which was the first of three incidents. A report was completed.

24-007979 Accident-Injury, Traffic 16:58:19 12/15/24
Deputies responded to a collision at the 1300 block of Beaverton Valley Road involving 4 vehicles in 2 separate collisions. 3 of the 4 vehicles were removed by Island Towing. 2 infractions were issued for driving left of center.

24-007983 Court Order Violation 20:08:37 12/15/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of a no-contact order violation. A probable cause statement was completed and forwarded to the prosecutors office for review. A report was completed.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 16
24-007991 Theft 11:17:32 12/16/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a theft of gas from a parked vehicle. Currently there are no suspects.

24-007992 Theft 12:24:50 12/16/24
A Deputy on Orcas took a theft complaint. Several bottles of alcohol were taken from a local building. A report was taken.

24-007998 Domestic Dispute or Assault 15:26:43 12/16/24
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a domestic incident in Friday Harbor. A report was completed.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17
24-008015 Weapon Safekeeping 09:30:21 12/17/24
A firearm was surrendered to the Sheriff’s Office per court order. The firearm was taken and booked into the property and evidence room.

24-008017 Theft 11:47:09 12/17/24
A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a citizen assist at a residence of an elderly individual. The skylight had been blown off their home during the windstorm and it was raining inside. Lopez Fire Department sent out personnel to assist secure the opening.

24-008019 Citizen Assist 13:57:05 12/17/24
A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a trespassing call. A trespass warning letter was completed and later served to the subject. The incident was documented.

24-008023 Accident-Injury, Traffic 16:42:09 12/17/24
Deputies, San Juan EMS, and San Juan Fire responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident in Friday Harbor. The pedestrian was taken to Peace Island Medical Center for further care. The driver was issued an infraction for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a cross walk. A report was completed.

24-008026 Accident-NonInj 20:54:46 12/17/24
A Deputy responded to a report of a non-injury accident. It was discovered that the driver misjudged a turn and accidentally went off the road into the grass. Island Towing was able to remove the vehicle from the ditch. The vehicle was driven away seemingly undamaged and the driver was not injured.
