18-006097 Domestic Dispute or Assault 06:41:47 08/15/18
An Orcas Deputy was dispatched to a possible domestic near the ferry landing. Both parties were not on scene when the Deputy had arrived. The investigation is on going.

18-006099 Malicious Mischief 08:42:45 08/15/18
A citizen reported gravel thrown on the front windshield of his vehicle.

18-006101 Threats 09:07:35 08/15/18
A Deputy responded to a report of a Threat involving an inmate in the jail holding facility. The two inmates were separated, information gathered, and a report made. Report forwarded to detective.

18-006110 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 14:34:31 08/15/18
A Deputy in Friday Harbor took a complaint of suspicious behavior by a new island resident. An informational report was taken.

18-006116 Domestic Dispute or Assault 16:28:32 08/15/18
Deputies responded to a report of a verbal domestic in Friday Harbor. Upon arrival Deputies located the RV in question but the involved parties were GOA. Deputies searched the area but did not locate the involved parties. Report made.

18-006122 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 18:11:57 08/15/18
A Deputy was dispatched to a Trespass complaint in Friday Harbor. All trespasser were issued warning letters.

18-006125 Theft 19:03:37 08/15/18
A Deputy took a reported theft complaint. The reporting party reported that several of his power tools had been taken from a shared construction site. A suspect is known. The case is under further
investigation.

18-006124 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 19:21:14 08/15/18
A Deputy responded to a Lopez Island B&B for a possible assault complaint. The investigation revealed no probable cause of a crime. It was determined the highly intoxicated person’s injuries most likely occurred from a fall while she was walking back to her B&B room. A report was completed.

18-006131 Trespassing 21:39:23 08/15/18
Deputies were dispatched to report of Trespassing in Friday Harbor. A report was taken.

18-006132 Overdose 23:17:31 08/15/18
A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a Lopez Island residence to assist EMS with a drug overdose. The involved subject was flown to a mainland hospital for further evaluation and treatment. A report was completed.

18-006142 Threats 08:23:36 08/16/18
A Lopez business received what was thought to be a threatening letter from an unknown person. Further investigation revealed the letter was a marketing effort done in poor taste by a publishing company.

18-006145 Assault – Body Force 10:02:47 08/16/18
A citizen stated she was assaulted. Deputies investigated and found the incident not credible.

18-006171 Noise Complaint /not dogs 22:44:33 08/16/18
A Deputy responded to a Lopez Island residence for a noise complaint after 10 PM. It was determined the offending neighbor was running a generator to provide power to an RV. The neighbor agreed to shut off the generator for the night. A report was completed.

18-006173 Area Check 23:31:39 08/16/18
A vessel was found at the Eastsound County Dock in the late night hours. The dock is a day use only dock. The vessel was also known to anchor and has been anchoring more than 90 days within the tidal lands within a year period. The vessel was cited with infractions for both violations.

A Lopez Deputy, EMS and OPALCO responded to a vehicle versus pole collision that resulted in a wildland fire and several downed power lines.

18-006183 Threats 10:29:18 08/17/18
A Deputy investigated a suicidal person on San Juan Island.

18-006196 Runaway Juvenile 16:01:00 08/17/18
There was a report of a runaway juvenile in Friday Harbor. A pick-up notice was filled out by the parent and put in the system.

18-006203 Boating Problem 18:38:07 08/17/18
A Deputy issued tickets to vessels that were not properly permitted on a County Dock.

18-006204 Accident-NonInj 18:51:05 08/17/18
San Juan Deputies responded to the report of a single-vehicle collision on Little Rd. The driver admitted to using his cell phone while driving which contributed to the collision. He was issued an infraction.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Welfare Check. The reporting Deputy located the person and everyone was safe. Report taken.

18-006256 Animal Noise 22:54:57 08/18/18
San Juan Deputies responded to a noise complaint of barking dogs on False Bay Dr. The dog dogs’ owner was contacted and advised of the noise ordinance violation.

A Deputy was dispatched to the Friday Harbor area in reference to a Hit and Run. The reporting Deputy arrived and a report was taken.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Traffic Accident. The reporting Deputy arrived and located the accident scene. Report taken.

18-006274 Breathing BLS 12:19:04 08/19/18
A Deputy responded to the jail holding facility for a medical issue with one of the inmates. The male was transported to the ER for an evaluation and a report made.

18-006275 Trespassing 12:49:06 08/19/18
A Deputy responded to a report of a trespassing in Friday Harbor. No suspects were found on scene, found property recovered & submitted to evidence room, and report made.

18-006283 Animal at Large 17:38:02 08/19/18
A Lopez Deputy responded to a dog at large complaint. The owner and dog were identified; a dog at large warning letter was issued.

18-006289 Domestic Dispute or Assault 20:38:05 08/19/18
A Deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the San Juan Island area. The reporting Deputy arrived and contacted the involved persons. Report taken.

A Deputy responded to Peace Island Medical Center for a report of a dog bite that occurred on Shaw Island. The injury was very minor, information was gathered and a report made. No further investigation needed.

A citizen reported a protection order violation. Investigation continues.

18-006316 Assault – Body Force 17:05:46 08/20/18
An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to an assault at an Eastsound business. A theft occurred during the assault. A report was taken. The investigation is ongoing.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Suspicious Circumstance in the San Juan Island area. The reporting Deputy contacted the caller. Report taken.

An Orcas Deputy responded to vehicle prowl that occurred in Eastsound in the early morning hours. There have been numerous other vehicle prowls reported for this time frame. An investigation is being conducted.

18-006348 Vehicle Prowl 14:28:47 08/21/18
An Orcas Deputy investigated a vehicle prowl in Eastsound. There is currently an ongoing investigation involving eight other vehicle prowls that occurred overnight.

A Deputy was dispatched to a report of Theft in Friday Harbor. The suspect was served a trespass letter.

18-006353 Accident-Injury, Traffic 17:06:43 08/21/18
An Orcas Island Deputy responded with Orcas Island Fire & Rescue to a report of an injury accident in the Eastsound area. The driver of the single vehicle involved in the accident was examined by medical personnel and released. The driver was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence.

A Deputy was dispatched to the San Juan Island area in reference to Welfare Check. The person was contacted. Report taken.
