An Orcas Deputy was dispatched to a Citizen Dispute near Eastsound. After an investigation was completed it was deemed a civil matter.
20-002444 Vicious Animal 14:42:35 04/08/20
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an animal problem. The reporting party’s dog had been injured by a neighbor’s dog. The investigation is ongoing, and a report was taken.
20-002445 Welfare Check 15:18:06 04/08/20
An Orcas Deputy was asked to do a welfare check in Eastsound. The person was found in good standings and did not want medical help.
20-002446 Domestic Dispute or Assault 16:39:12 04/08/20
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of domestic violence in Friday Harbor. The suspect was arrested for two order violations, burglary 1st degree, unlawful imprisonment, interfering with the reporting of domestic violence and DWLS 3rd degree.
20-002448 Citizen Dispute 18:37:13 04/08/20
Deputies responded to a domestic dispute between two persons. The male half was attempting to retreat while the female half continued to follow the victim, throwing items at him. The female was arrested and processed for Disorderly Conduct Domestic Violence.

A San Juan Deputy was dispatched to a report of civil issue. All parties were contacted and came to an agreement.
20-002471 Controlled Substance Problem 15:33:30 04/09/20
A Deputy on San Juan impounded a vehicle for a narcotic investigation. Search warrant completed, report made.
20-002472 Citizen Assist 18:02:45 04/09/20
A Deputy investigated a complaint that a resident saw a juvenile go onto an unavailable neighbor’s undeveloped property and dump trash. It was determined the juvenile dumped cat box waste and that he believed he was on his property when he dumped the waste. There was insufficient evidence of a crime.
20-002477 Threats 21:59:07 04/09/20
Deputies responded to a reported threats complaint. Further investigation revealed probable cause that a female suspect had committed the crime of criminal harassment. The case has been forwarded to the San Juan County Prosecutors office for charging decisions.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the San Juan Island area. The Deputy arrived and contacted the involved people. The incident was verbal only and no crime had been committed. Report taken.

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on Lopez Island. The disturbance was verbal in nature and the two parties separated for the night.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Malicious Mischief in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy contacted the caller who reported items had been knocked over and damaged. Report taken.

A Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to a theft in Eastsound. A report was filed.

Ag Deputy was dispatched to a Littering call in the San Juan Island area. The Deputy arrived and took photos of the item. Report taken.

An Orcas Deputy conducted traffic enforcement for a vehicle out of gas near Olga. Once the road was clear the Deputy left the area.

An Orcas Deputy responded to a possible illegal burn near Eastsound. After an investigation it was deemed everything was safe.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of found property. A report was made.
20-002521 Citizen Assist 22:53:58 04/10/20
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a report of a stolen bicycle. The bicycle was later located in the area where the person last saw it. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the temporary loss of the bicycle.

A Deputy on Orcas Island was dispatched to a complainant of a business in Eastsound operating in violation of the Governors Proclamation #20-25. The business was closed. An information report was filed.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called to investigate a trespass at a business. The suspect was contacted and warned to stay off the premises. A report was taken.

An Orcas Deputy made a callback on a civil question near Eastsound. Questions were answered and a report was taken.

Deputies investigated a dog bite incident on Lopez Island. A two-year-old dog bit and injured a seventeen-year-old dog and its owner. The victim dog and her owner required medical treatment. The suspect dog’s owner was issued a criminal citation for Public Nuisance/Animal Bite.

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on Lopez Island. The disturbance was verbal in nature and the involved parties separated for the night.

A Deputy on San Juan attempted to stop an unlicensed vehicle with a suspended driver & a pursuit ensued. The pursuit was terminated due to unsafe speeds. The driver was sent several infractions & probable cause was referred on the known driver for Eluding, DWLS 3rd Degree & Reckless Endangerment.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a trespassing complaint. The juvenile suspect was identified and contacted. A referral was made to Juvenile Court Services regarding a curfew violation.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a noise complaint. The involved parties were contacted. They were issued verbal warnings for the noise violation and violating the Governor’s stay at home order.

Deputies on Orcas Island were dispatched to a report of an unauthorized helicopter landing. The helicopter was located and the pilot was given a copy of the aircraft landing ordinance. An information report was filed.
