22-002400 Citizen Assist 08:20:47 04/20/22
A Lopez Deputy responded to a citizen assist call. A citizen reported frequent reckless driving behaviors on the south end. A report was taken, and patrol will be increased.

22-002401 Theft 08:36:22 04/20/22
A Deputy responded to a report of a Theft/Shoplifter at a local business. Upon arrival the Deputy found the caller waiting with the suspect involved. The stolen property was recovered, the business declined to prosecute, and a trespass letter was issued to the suspect. Report made.

22-002402 Citizen Assist 09:24:40 04/20/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of a possible crypto currency scam. A report was completed.

22-002403 Lost Property 10:09:53 04/20/22
A Lopez Deputy responded to a lost property call. A boat that was moored on a buoy is missing. The citizen notified Coast Guard, Dispatch registered the vessel as missing, and the Deputy took a report.

A Deputy on San Juan Island spoke to a citizen about an individual trespassing in their store. A report was completed.

An Orcas Island Deputy investigated a fraud report by an Orcas Island resident. No suspect information was available. A report was authored.

22-002410 Citizen Assist 12:57:54 04/20/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report from a citizen of a fraudulent phone call they received from someone pretending to be from the county and was trying to serve papers. The citizen did not provide any information and did not sustain a monetary loss.

22-002411 Boating Problem 14:08:01 04/20/22
Dispatch was notified by Skagit County that a stolen boat was headed toward Lopez Island. The Coast Guard arrested the boat thief before he arrived on Lopez.

A Lopez Island Deputy received a theft of a golf cart complaint from a Center Island resident on 04/20/2022. The investigation continues.

22-002418 Theft 16:58:34 04/20/22
A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a business for a theft complaint. It was determined a customer left the store without paying for items. The customer returned the items and claimed he did not mean to take the items without paying for them. He was criminally trespassed from the store.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of an agency assist. The investigation is ongoing.

A Lopez Deputy was called out for a 911 hang up. The owner of the phone was located and stated his phone malfunctioned.

22-002428 Burglary,NonRes 08:33:29 04/21/22
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a report of a burglary on the 300 block of Main St. An investigation was conducted, and a report authored. Unknown suspect(s) stole approximately $600.00 worth of tools from a construction site.

22-002431 Burglary,NonRes 09:57:17 04/21/22
An Orcas Island Deputy investigated burglaries to several businesses in the downtown Eastsound area. Forced entry was made to the businesses but no loss was incurred. Investigation is on-going.

FRIDAY, APRIL 22
22-002449 Accident-Injury, Traffic 07:12:37 04/22/22
A driver suffered a medical episode and drove off the roadway. Lopez EMS and a Deputy responded.

22-002452 Theft 09:46:49 04/22/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a theft. An item was taken from a shed on private property. The item was listed as stolen and the case documented. No suspect information or workable leads.

22-002455 Assault – Body Force 11:14:47 04/22/22
A Deputy responded to a report of an assault on San Juan Island. The victim reported being poked in the chest by an elderly lady in the gravel pit area on Pear Point Rd. The victim was not injured, declined to assist in prosecution, & just wanted the incident documented. Report made.

22-002459 Court Order Violation 13:44:23 04/22/22
A Deputy was contacted in reference to a Possible Order Violation. The person calling has an Order against a neighbor. After speaking with the person and checking the area, it doe not appear there is a violation at this time. Informational report was taken.

A Deputy was dispatched to a Theft in the San Juan Island area. The person calling reported a theft from a local business. Vehicle and a suspect description were provided. A report was taken.

22-002463 Threats 15:08:01 04/22/22
Orcas Deputies responded to a harassment call near Eastsound. The suspect was found and arrested. A report was taken.

SATURDAY, APRIL 23
22-002480 Theft 13:44:44 04/23/22
Lopez resident reported theft of eggs from a farm stand. Efforts will be made to identify the suspect.

22-002482 Found Property 14:44:45 04/23/22
An Orcas Island Deputy recovered a found bicycle from Buck Park. The bicycle was booked into the Orcas substation as found property and a report authored.

22-002484 Found Property 16:03:24 04/23/22
A Lopez citizen turned in a lost driver’s license found on the side of the road. A Lopez Deputy located the owner and returned the license. The owner mentioned the license fell out of their pocket while they were biking.

22-002490 Vehicle Prowl 19:22:39 04/23/22
An Orcas Island Deputy was dispatched to a vehicle prowl in the Eastsound area. It was later determined that a family member had moved the items. No crime was committed.

22-002493 Traffic Hazard 20:04:30 04/23/22
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a traffic hazard involving an abandoned vehicle blocking the roadway. The Deputy located another vehicle driving to the scene with the original driver, who stalled the car. Both had suspended licenses and the report will be sent to the PA for charging.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of suspicious activity at a group of mailboxes. The suspect had placed business cards in some mailboxes. The suspect was contacted, and a report was completed.

22-002508 Court Order Violation 17:06:18 04/24/22
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of an order violation. The Deputy’s report was sent to the Prosecutor’s Office for a charging decision.

22-002515 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 23:27:45 04/24/22
A Deputy was dispatched to a Suspicious Circumstance in the Friday Harbor area. An unidentified caller advised a person had poured gasoline on themselves and was threatening to harm themselves. The Deputy contacted the person and they advised they were not going to harm themselves. Report taken.

A Deputy was dispatched to an Unwanted Person in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy arrived and made contact with the person. The person advised they would be sleeping in their vehicle for the night.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of a non-injury accident between a school bus with no kids aboard and a sedan. A report was completed.

A Lopez Deputy was notified of a missing person. The person was found near her home and safely returned.

A Deputy on San Juan Island spoke with a citizen who wanted to trespass an individual who lives off island. The Deputy was able to contact the individual and the trespass letter was served. A report was completed.

A Lopez Deputy investigated a 3 vehicle collision on Fisherman Bay Road.

Deputies on Orcas Island arrested a person for trespassing.

Deputies on Orcas responded to a suicidal subject near Eastsound. The person was transported to Peace Island Medical Center to help with treatment. A report was taken.
