24-002040 Accident-NonInj 10:21:55 04/10/24
A Deputy on Orcas was dispatched to an accident non-injury on Cedar Hill Rd. There were no signs of intoxication and the registered owner was working on contacting help when the Deputy arrived.

24-002046 Found Property 11:39:35 04/10/24
A small number of bones were found on a beach and turned into the Sheriff’s Office. It is unclear if they are human remains. Photos are being sent to the state archeologist for determination. The bones were packaged and booked into the property room.

24-002050 DUI 13:43:53 04/10/24
Lopez Island Deputies and Lopez Island Fire & EMS were dispatched to a report of a woman in distress in her vehicle. The individual was evaluated by medical personnel and provided assistance returning home. The individual did not display any signs of impairment.

24-002053 Citizen Dispute 14:14:18 04/10/24
Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a citizen dispute. No crime had occurred. A report was authored.

24-002055 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 14:23:50 04/10/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a buried bag containing bones. Some of the bones were determined to obviously be from a deer. Other bones require further examination to determine their origin. A report was completed.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a citizen assist. The reporting party requested documentation regarding his landlord having denied utility services.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of vandalism. The incident was documented.

24-002067 Trespassing 08:08:30 04/11/24
A Deputy was contacted about a Trespassing. A local entity was requesting a Trespass Warning Letter be issued. The letter was completed for service. Report taken.

24-002079 Death Investigation 19:13:38 04/11/24
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a death investigation. The death was determined to be natural and the incident was documented.

24-002080 Overdose 21:47:56 04/11/24
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of an intentional overdose. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.

24-002081 Domestic Dispute or Assault 21:52:54 04/11/24
Deputies were dispatched to a Possible Domestic in the San Juan Island area. Deputies arrived in the area but were unable to locate any signs of a problem. Report taken.

24-002083 Court Order Violation 09:08:38 04/12/24
A Deputy was dispatched to an Order Violation in the San Juan Island area. The Deputy arrived and located the person on the property who was prohibited to be there by court order. The person was arrested and transported to the Sheriff’s Office. Report taken.

24-002084 Citizen Assist 09:14:13 04/12/24
An Orcas Island Deputy investigated a call of possible stolen gold coins. There are investigative leads, and the case remains open.

24-002085 Theft 11:19:00 04/12/24
Deputies were dispatched to a Theft at a business in Friday Harbor area. The Deputy arrived and contacted the manager of the business. The manager requested a Trespass Warning Letter be issued to the person involved. The person was issued a letter and a report was taken.

24-002086 Trespassing 11:22:17 04/12/24
A Deputy was dispatched to a Trespass in the San Juan Island area. The Deputy contacted the person who was served with a Trespass Warning Letter. Report taken.

24-002091 Trespassing 13:30:25 04/12/24
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a trespassing call on Wild Currant Ct. All parties were contacted and it was determined to be a civil matter good neighbor issue. No crime committed.

24-002096 Burglary – Residential 16:36:41 04/12/24
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a residential burglary complaint. The burglary complaint was determined to be unfounded. The incident involves an ongoing civil issue between a tenant and the property manager.

24-002101 Citizen Assist 18:01:30 04/12/24
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a call regarding the attempted theft of a dog from a vehicle. The incident occurred a few days prior. The owner was encouraged to report the incident. The owner did not wish to pursue any further legal action.

24-002103 Threats 19:34:20 04/12/24
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a threats complaint. The involved parties were contacted. There is insufficient evidence a crime has been committed.

24-002109 Accident-Injury, Traffic 21:29:20 04/12/24
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision. The driver was arrested for DUI and their BAC was more than three times the legal limit to drive.

SATURDAY, APRIL 13
24-002112 Unconscious ALS 02:25:51 04/13/24
A Deputy responded, along with Orcas Fire and EMS personnel to a report of an unconscious vehicle operator.

24-002116 Trespassing 13:46:43 04/13/24
A Deputy was sent to a Trespassing at a local business. The person involved was not currently at the business. A Trespass Warning Letter was prepared for the person. Report taken.

24-002122 Welfare Check 16:13:54 04/13/24
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a welfare check. The subject, whose court ordered conditions of release state he is not allowed to possess or consume alcohol, appeared intoxicated. The subject refused to provide a portable breath sample. A report was forwarded to Adult Probation.

24-002123 Found Property 16:29:03 04/13/24
A Deputy was contacted about Found Property at a local business. The business owner located a firearm left behind in a restroom at the business. The firearm was turned over to the Deputy and entered into evidence. Report taken.

24-002125 Trauma ALS 19:01:13 04/13/24
A Lopez Island Deputy and Lopez Island Fire & EMS were dispatched to a Boating Trauma ALS. An individual was airlifted to a higher level of care and a report was taken.

SUNDAY, APRIL 14
24-002137 Burglary – Residential 11:59:11 04/14/24
A Friday Harbor part time resident reported her cabin appeared to have been slept in. They reported nothing missing, no signs of forced entry, and nothing other than her bed disturbed. This cabin is not a vacation rental and cannot be seen from the street.

24-002144 Theft 15:02:46 04/14/24
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a shoplifting complaint. The juvenile suspect was identified and trespassed from the business at the business owner’s request.

24-002145 Citizen Assist 15:30:54 04/14/24
A citizen requested to have a person trespassed from a private road. A trespass warning letter was drafted and signed by the complainant. At the time of this report, the subject of the trespass warning letter had not been served.

24-002148 Vicious Animal 16:53:31 04/14/24
A Lopez Island Deputy was dispatched to a dog bite. The owner was issued a dog at large warning letter and a report was forwarded to the San Juan County Health Department.

MONDAY, APRIL 15
24-002165 Threats 18:19:50 04/15/24
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of threats. The Deputy’s report was sent to the Prosecutor’s Office as the suspect committed the crime of harassment.

TUESDAY, APRIL 16
24-002171 Citizen Assist 08:02:20 04/16/24
A citizen reported a potential fraud. The incident was linked to another case and is currently under investigation.

24-002176 Weapons Offense 09:06:08 04/16/24
A report was made of a resident of an assisted living community violating the rules. Deputies responded and mediated the situation. No further action was taken.

24-002184 Civil Problem 14:52:55 04/16/24
A protection order was served electronically to an Ohio resident.

24-002192 Court Order Violation 19:50:56 04/16/24
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of an order violation. The Deputy observed that there was a violation of the order so a report was prepared to be sent to the prosecutors office for charging.
