On August 22, 2023, around 5:41 AM, the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single vehicle accident, possibly involving a fatality on Crow Valley Rd near the intersection of Pleasure Horse Rd. Multiple Deputies responded to the scene and discovered that tragically both the driver and passenger were deceased. An investigation is ongoing to confirm the identities of both victims and to notify family members of the deceased. The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office respectfully requests everyone to respect the privacy of the victims, their families, and friends.
“Please pray for all of the people affected by this tragedy,” said San Juan County Sheriff, Eric Peter. “Thank you to the deputies on scene and to the Orcas Island Fire & Rescue personnel for their quick response and efforts on this tragic call.”
