On April 28, 2022 Orcas Deputies served a search warrant on the residence of an Eastsound man in connection to a string of burglaries happening over the last couple of months. A 34 year old Orcas man was arrested for Burglary 2nd and transported to the San Juan County Jail where he will be booked in pending an arraignment hearing.
On April 22 at approximately 8 a.m., the Deer Harbor Marina reported a burglary that happened sometime in the early morning hours. During the course of the investigation, evidence believed to be from previous burglaries was located in plain view inside a vehicle. This prompted the deputies to apply for a search warrant on the vehicle as well as the vehicle owner’s residence.
It is believed recovered evidence ties him to burglaries dating back to December 2021.

Wow, on this subject of place names, This makes me want to introduce the thought that we should rename ‘massacre bay’ to whatever it was named by the indigenous tribe before we -white settlers- froze the point in time when tribes were locked in battle and that it served the white settlers purpose of assigning barbaric intentions. Can we do better?
Jessica!
I love that! Thank you…
