||| FROM SHERIFF RON KREBS |||
The Sheriff’s Office, along with Mike Carlson Construction, is asking the public in Eastsound to respect the safety of the hard-working men and women currently working on the Prune Alley road project. Road barricades and safety fencing has been erected to keep pedestrians and vehicles out while dangerous construction is underway.
Construction zones fall under heavy regulations and OSHA rules. In order to protect the citizens of Orcas Island, as well as the workers doing the road construction, we are asking you to be respectful of the work zone. Failure to do so may result in an infraction for RCW 46.61.050 failure to obey traffic control devices.
Together, with your help, we can all get through this project as quickly as possible and injury free.

The Community, with the help from land owners , will participate in relief parking on A street. Parking can happen at the end of the road. It’s an epicenter of the core of town with trails from the Airport, the Beach, as well as the path thru the Band Shell Park in town.
Please follow the signage and be at home.
