Orcas Island’s 4th Annual Community Heirloom Seed and Plant Exchange is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 10 at the West Sound Community Hall on Dear Harbor Road from 2 to 5 p.m.

Ronda Jones, event organizer says, “It’s time to organize and share our precious GMO-free saved seed with others.  Everyone is welcome.”

The schedule is as follows:

  • 2:00 ~ Deliver Items & View Offerings
  • 2:15 ~ Introductions & Swapping Etiquette
  • 2:30 ~ Open Exchange & Networking
  • 4:00 ~ Raffle & Clean-up (4 NW Flower & Garden Show tickets, $25 Island Hardware gift cert., seed cleaning screens, & more!) Must be present to win raffle items).

In advance of the Orcas Island event, the Bellingham community will celebrate its 5th Annual Seed Day on Sunday, Jan. 27 at the Majestic Ball Room, 1027 N. Forest St. & Maple St. in Bellingham, south of the Food Co-op.
