The San Juan Islands Scenic Byway and San Juan Islands Visitors Bureau announce:
A Call for Inspiration – What images best represent the true essence of the San Juan Islands? The San Juan Islands Scenic Byway offers some of the most beautiful scenic vistas in the country, and byway planners are committed to not only enhancing experiences for visitors to the islands, but also preserving the quality of life that locals cherish.
A graphic logo is being developed as well as a plan for visitor management. Images, words and design concepts are needed to highlight the plan. The Call for Inspiration is open to anyone interested in helping, and can include concepts, sketches, photos, graphics, poetry, or just descriptive words. Kids are especially invited to send in their designs.
Submissions must be received (or postmarked) no later than March 31, 2010.
Submissions can be provided in hard copy or electronic formats (jpg, pdf, tif, ppt, doc, or rtf). Finished artwork/products are not expected. Because this project is publicly funded, all submitted materials will remain in the public domain under the care of the San Juan Islands Scenic Byway and will not be returned to submitters (so please make your own copies before sending your submissions in).
