Job Summary
We are searching for a motivated team member to join our fast paced, energetic practice. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated data entry driven. This person should have a background in medical assisting, hold a current MA Certification, and be willing to learn. While experience is preferred, we will be filling this career position with a candidate who is flexible and wanting to grow in this industry. This job can develop in to a clinic lead position.
Salary: $20 + DOE
Position: Full Time
Location: Orcas Island (minimal travel between islands may be required)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- CPR and Medical Assistance Certification (required within the first 2 months of employment)
- 1 Year experience in eye care or another medical field (preferred)

Some duties may include:
- Medical history taking
- Scribing and attaching diagnostic imaging to patient charts
- Requesting and sending chart notes
- Scheduling follow up appointments
- Sanitation
- Operating OCT, Optos, and Visual Fields, to act as a backup for the technician
- Perform visual acuity, blood pressure, and interocular pressure when needed as a backup for the technician
- Bending and lifting up to 20lbs
- Positioning patients
