San Juan County Parks & Fair announces 2025 camping reservation opening day

The San Juan County Parks & Fair Department is eager to announce that an opening day has been set for making camping reservations! The department is grateful for the public’s patience as it works to update the camping reservation system to provide an easier user interface, better sorting options of campsites, and more efficient administrative processing. 

Resident Reservations

San Juan County residents will get to take advantage of our Resident Reservation Program beginning Tuesday, April 15 at 9:00 am and ending at 4:00 pm on Thursday, April 17. The reservation system will then close through Monday, April 21 before opening for the general public. 

General Public Reservations 

The general public is invited to make camping reservations beginning on Tuesday, April 22 at 9:00 am.  

System Improvements 

The department is eager to streamline the resident reservation program that gives early access to locals. Large groups will also be able to reserve specific group campsites online, rather than coordinating with staff. In addition, when the reservation window opens in Spring of 2025, campers will be able to make reservations through October 31, instead of the 90-day window of availability that is currently in place.
