Richard Bach, author of Jonathan Livingston Seagull and 19 other books will read and sign his latest novel, Hypnotizing Maria, at Darvill’s Bookstore on Friday, Nov. 20, from 6 to 7 p.m.
In Hypnotizing Maria, a teaching fable, Bach explores both flight and metaphysics. In the opening moments of the story, we meet Jamie Forbes, a pilot who guides a woman into landing a plane safely after her husband loses consciousness. She later claims it was like being hypnotized. Richard Bach, in this, his twentieth book, has written a compelling fable about reality and suggestion.Call Darvill’s at 376-2135.

I read it! The plot fits perfectly with the aphorism that our beliefs define our world. Great read, although or perhaps because it’s a little more rambling than JLS.
