||| FROM STEVE JUNG for EMMANUEL SANTA BRIGADE |||
It’s another year of Christmas holidays on Orcas Island and the Emmanuel Episcopal Church Santa Brigade is on its way.
We don’t want to disappoint, and we are hoping to hear from a few more wee folks this year. Won’t you help us spread the word? Here is the gist:
- The Letter to Santa collection has begun! The Santa Mailbox is conveniently located right outside the front entrance to the Emmanuel Episcopal church on Maine Street.
- We recommend that an adult write out the full name, address, and phone number of the child. The kiddos can write their letter to Santa as long as someone else reads it for clarity before it’s sealed. No stamp is necessary.
- Sure-Santa loves getting drawings!
- Drop the sealed letter in the Santa Mailbox.
- The Elves will pick up the letters once the reindeer are able to make another stop on the islands (usually every 1-2 days). Ruby will get the letters back to the North Pole where her trusted team will get the letters to Santa and Mrs. Claus.
- Santa will review and respond personally to each letter after his nightly milk and cookies.
Letters will be accepted until Saturday, December 17 for a response prior to the Big Day!!
