||| FROM HILARY CANTY |||
For many years, there was a community lunch served in the Community Church on Tuesdays. It was free and open to all. For some community members, this was their one warm meal of the week, for others it was one of the few meals that they did not eat alone. The lunches provided an opportunity to build connections and helped nurture the feeling of community and belonging.
These lunches stopped during COVID and now it is time to restart. The first Community Lunch will be Tuesday January 21st from 12-1:30. It is free and open to all.
Lunches will be cooked and served by volunteers, providing ample opportunities to get involved! In the past churches, nonprofits and service organizations signed up for a Tuesday and cooked as a team building experience. If that sounds like fun for you and your group, please consider signing up for a day. Individuals are also welcome.
If you are interested in participating or want to learn more, please contact Hilary Canty (hilarycanty@gmail.com). We hope to see you Tuesday!
